Let’s Dive into Champion Traps and Targets Blue Police Silhouette Target, 100 Pack
The Champion Traps and Targets Blue Police Silhouette Target, 100 Pack offers a high-volume solution for serious shooters looking to hone their skills. Manufactured by Champion Traps and Targets, these targets provide a standardized silhouette for consistent training. The blue silhouette on a light background is designed for enhanced visibility, making them a favorite among law enforcement and civilian shooters alike.
My search for the perfect target stemmed from a desire to improve my accuracy and consistency with my duty weapon. I was tired of using generic targets that didn’t provide a realistic representation of a human threat. I needed something durable, visible in varying light conditions, and cost-effective for frequent practice.
Unboxing the Champion Traps and Targets Blue Police Silhouette Target, 100 Pack, my initial impression was of a no-frills, but practical product. The targets are simply packed, ensuring you get a large quantity ready for immediate use. The paper stock felt sturdy enough to withstand multiple rounds, and the blue silhouette contrasted sharply against the light background.
Compared to other targets I’ve used, like the standard black silhouette targets or bullseye targets, the blue color offers a significant advantage in visibility. The Champion targets also felt slightly thicker than some of the cheaper bulk targets I’ve purchased in the past. I chose these over others because of the specific silhouette design geared towards law enforcement training, combined with the bulk quantity for regular training sessions.
I was immediately excited to put them to the test. The sheer quantity of targets meant I wouldn’t have to worry about running out anytime soon, and the blue silhouette promised improved visibility. I felt confident that these targets would help me improve my shooting skills.
Real-World Testing: Putting Champion Traps and Targets Blue Police Silhouette Target, 100 Pack to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Champion Traps and Targets Blue Police Silhouette Target, 100 Pack at my local outdoor shooting range. The weather was slightly overcast, but the targets remained easily visible at distances of 7, 15, and 25 yards. I tested with a variety of handguns, from 9mm to .45 ACP.
Even in the less-than-ideal lighting, the blue silhouette stood out distinctly. This made target acquisition much faster compared to using standard black targets, especially at longer distances. The targets held up well against multiple rounds, showing clean bullet holes without excessive tearing.
Using these targets was remarkably straightforward. I simply stapled them to the target stands and began practicing. The large size of the targets (22.5″ x 35″) provided ample space for multiple groupings, without needing to replace the target frequently.
The only slight surprise was the amount of paper dust generated when stapling the targets. It wasn’t a major issue, but something to be aware of when setting up. Overall, the first use was a resounding success.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of regular use, the Champion Traps and Targets Blue Police Silhouette Target, 100 Pack has proven to be a reliable and cost-effective training tool. I’ve used these targets in various weather conditions, including rain and sunshine, and they have consistently performed well. The paper, while not waterproof, held up surprisingly well in light rain.
There have been no significant signs of wear and tear beyond the expected bullet holes. The targets haven’t faded or ripped prematurely, even after prolonged exposure to sunlight. They’ve maintained their visibility and structural integrity.
Maintenance is non-existent, which is a major plus. Once the target is riddled with holes, it’s simply replaced. The ease of replacement and the large quantity in the pack make this a very low-maintenance option.
Compared to previous target experiences, these targets outperform cheaper alternatives in terms of visibility and durability. The size and design are also more conducive to realistic training scenarios. I’m very satisfied with their performance.
