The Breakthrough Clean BTCCCP Vision Series Cleaning Kit 9mm-.45cal Pistol Made a Bold First Impression
In the realm of firearm maintenance, a reliable cleaning kit is as essential as the firearm itself. The Breakthrough Clean BTCCCP Vision Series Cleaning Kit 9mm-.45cal Pistol promises a comprehensive cleaning solution in a compact, organized package. This kit from Breakthrough Clean is designed to tackle the grime and residue that inevitably accumulates after a day at the range, or even after storing your firearm for a period of time. The durable case, brass components, and included oil suggest a product built for longevity and effective cleaning.
For years, I’ve relied on a hodgepodge of cleaning supplies cobbled together from various sources. I was tired of rummaging through a disorganized mess every time I needed to clean a pistol. I was looking for an all-in-one solution that was both effective and easy to store.
The unboxing experience was quite satisfying. The plastic tray within the durable case efficiently organizes each component. The kit feels sturdy and well-made, promising a lasting solution for pistol maintenance.
I considered a few other options before settling on the Breakthrough Clean kit. There’s the Hoppe’s No. 9 kit, a classic but felt less organized. Then, there was a bore snake, a quick-clean solution, but not ideal for a thorough cleaning. I chose this Breakthrough Clean kit due to its comprehensive nature and the promise of a well-organized storage system.
My first impression was overwhelmingly positive. The kit exudes quality and promises an organized and effective cleaning experience. I was excited to put it to the test.
Real-World Testing: Putting Breakthrough Clean BTCCCP Vision Series Cleaning Kit 9mm-.45cal Pistol to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Breakthrough Clean BTCCCP Vision Series Cleaning Kit 9mm-.45cal Pistol after a day at the range with my Glock 19 (9mm) and my 1911 (.45 ACP). The range was outdoors, and conditions were fairly dry and dusty. The pistols had each seen about 200 rounds.
The kit proved incredibly easy to use straight out of the box. The organized tray made it simple to locate the correct brush and jag for each caliber. The brass rods assembled smoothly, and the handle provided a comfortable grip.
The first cleaning revealed the kit’s effectiveness. The bore brushes quickly removed the majority of the carbon fouling, and the cotton mops efficiently absorbed any remaining solvent. I was particularly impressed with the included Battle Born oil, which left a slick, protective coating on the internal parts. There were no surprises other than how much faster the process was compared to my old, disorganized method.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, cleaning my pistols after each range visit, the Breakthrough Clean BTCCCP Vision Series Cleaning Kit 9mm-.45cal Pistol continues to impress. The components show no signs of wear and tear, and the case remains sturdy and organized. I clean the brushes after each use with solvent and a rag.
Maintaining the kit is a breeze. The brass components are easily wiped down, and the case keeps everything neatly contained. Compared to my previous cleaning routine, this kit is a significant upgrade. It has streamlined the process and ensures a more thorough cleaning. The Breakthrough Clean kit vastly outperforms the disorganized mess I previously relied upon.
