Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Varmint Thumbhole Knight American Knight.50Cal Ml Factory Barrel Channel Stock Review

Let’s Talk About Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Varmint Thumbhole Knight American Knight.50Cal Ml Factory Barrel Channel Stock

The Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Varmint Thumbhole Knight American Knight.50Cal Ml Factory Barrel Channel Stock promises to be a significant upgrade for any muzzleloader enthusiast seeking enhanced accuracy and a more comfortable shooting experience. Designed specifically for the Knight American Knight .50 Caliber muzzleloader, this stock boasts a thumbhole design and a factory barrel channel, ensuring a precise fit and improved ergonomics. Finished in a Forest Camo pattern, it offers both aesthetic appeal and practical concealment for the hunter.

My journey to this particular stock started with a quest for improved accuracy with my Knight American Knight. The factory stock, while functional, never quite felt like a perfect fit, leading to inconsistent shooting, especially when varmint hunting. The promise of a thumbhole design for enhanced grip and stability, coupled with the Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks reputation for quality, made this a compelling option.

Upon unboxing, the immediate impression was one of quality craftsmanship. The Forest Camo finish is well-applied and provides excellent visual concealment. The hardwood felt solid and well-shaped, inspiring confidence in its durability.

Compared to the factory synthetic stock and a laminated wood stock I’d previously considered from a different manufacturer, the Boyds stock stood out due to its thumbhole design and the assurance of a direct fit for my rifle. The thumbhole felt more natural than the pistol grip on the synthetic stock, and the factory barrel channel eliminated the need for potentially damaging custom fitting. I was excited to finally have a stock that could potentially improve my accuracy and make those long shots on prairie dogs and coyotes a bit easier.
