Bohning Complete Shooter Stool Review

Let’s Talk About Bohning Complete Shooter Stool

The Bohning Complete Shooter Stool promises to be more than just a place to sit. It’s an all-in-one solution designed to enhance the shooting experience, blending comfort with practical storage and convenient features. Bohning, known for their archery accessories, aims to provide archers and shooters alike with a mobile, organized, and comfortable base of operations at the range or in the field.

For years, I’ve struggled with the clutter and discomfort often associated with long days at the range. I was specifically searching for a solution that would allow me to stay organized, comfortable, and focused, rather than constantly juggling gear and fighting fatigue. The promise of integrated storage, a comfortable seat, and useful extras like arrow tubes and an umbrella holder is what initially drew me to the Bohning Complete Shooter Stool.

Upon unboxing, my first impression was of a robust, well-thought-out design. The stool felt solid and stable, while the padded seat offered a welcome contrast to the often-unforgiving surfaces found at shooting ranges. The integrated storage compartments immediately addressed my primary concern about organization.

Compared to a basic folding stool and separate gear bag I’ve used in the past, the Bohning Complete Shooter Stool felt like a significant upgrade. It also seemed like a more streamlined solution compared to a dedicated range cart which can be bulky and difficult to transport. I chose this stool over other options primarily for its portability and all-in-one design.

My initial excitement was tempered with a slight concern about the advertised 225 lbs weight capacity. However, the overall build quality seemed reassuring. I was eager to put it to the test and see if it lived up to its promises.

Real-World Testing: Putting Bohning Complete Shooter Stool to the Test

First Use Experience

I first tested the Bohning Complete Shooter Stool at an outdoor archery range during a weekend practice session. The weather was mild, but the ground was uneven and slightly damp from recent rain. I set up the stool on a relatively level spot and immediately appreciated the stable base it provided.

The stool performed admirably in the slightly uneven terrain. The padded seat provided a noticeable improvement in comfort compared to my old folding stool, allowing me to focus on my shooting rather than shifting uncomfortably. The built-in cooler kept my drinks cold, which was a welcome bonus on a warm day.

The setup was intuitive, and I didn’t need any time to get used to the stool. My only initial surprise was how much gear I could actually fit into the internal storage compartments. It easily accommodated my arrows, spare bow string, tools, and even a small first-aid kit.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of regular use, the Bohning Complete Shooter Stool has proven to be a reliable and valuable addition to my archery gear. It has accompanied me on numerous range visits and even a few outdoor 3D archery courses.

The stool has held up surprisingly well, showing minimal signs of wear and tear. The reinforced stitching appears to be robust, and the fabric has resisted fading and tearing. I appreciate that the stool still looks new and is not showing signs of falling apart after heavy usage.

Cleaning and maintenance are straightforward. A quick wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove any dirt or grime. Compared to constantly reorganizing my gear bag, the Bohning Complete Shooter Stool simplifies my pre- and post-shooting routines. The stool far outperforms my previous setup in terms of organization, comfort, and convenience.
