Its unique design allows for easy scoring from both the front and back, and the integrated carrying handle and foldable design make it incredibly convenient. As someone with over a decade of experience in the tactical and outdoor gear world, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can help hone my skills and make range time more productive, and this target immediately piqued my interest.
I was looking for a target that could withstand various weather conditions and offer a clear, easy-to-score surface. My old targets were flimsy and often tore in the wind, making it difficult to get accurate feedback on my shots. The EZE-SCORER promised durability and convenience, addressing my specific needs.
Upon receiving the BIR 37039 EZE-SCORER, I was immediately impressed with its size and the quality of the paper. It felt substantial and well-made, a step up from the generic targets I was used to. The pink color also added a nice contrast, making bullet holes more visible.
Compared to standard paper targets or even some of the more expensive self-healing targets, the EZE-SCORER offered a unique combination of affordability and functionality. While self-healing targets are great for durability, they can be pricey, and standard paper targets often require constant replacement. The EZE-SCORER seemed to strike a good balance, offering a durable and convenient option without breaking the bank.
My first impression was definitely positive. The BIR 37039 EZE-SCORER 23X35 BC27PINK 5 appeared to be a well-thought-out and practical product, and I was eager to put it to the test.
Real-World Testing: Putting BIR 37039 EZE-SCORER 23X35 BC27PINK 5 to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the BIR 37039 EZE-SCORER at my local shooting range, a mix of indoor and outdoor bays catering to various shooting disciplines. I primarily used it with my 9mm handgun and .223 rifle at distances ranging from 7 yards to 100 yards.
The range was experiencing typical windy conditions, which usually make target setup a hassle, but the EZE-SCORER held up remarkably well. Its larger size and heavier paper stock provided stability, preventing it from tearing or flapping excessively in the wind. Setting it up was a breeze; I simply unfolded it and clipped it to the target stand.
The EZE-SCORER was incredibly easy to use. The scoring rings were clear and distinct, making it simple to assess my accuracy and make adjustments as needed. The pink color of the target also provided excellent contrast, allowing me to easily spot bullet holes even at longer distances. After the first use, I realized the built-in handle truly aided in transportation.
After my initial session, I noticed no immediate issues. The target held up well to multiple rounds, and the scoring rings remained clear and easy to read.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, the BIR 37039 EZE-SCORER continues to impress. It’s become my go-to target for both pistol and rifle practice.
Despite repeated use and exposure to various weather conditions, including rain and direct sunlight, the target has held up surprisingly well. There are some minor signs of wear and tear, such as small tears around the bullet holes, but overall, it remains in excellent condition. It’s far more durable than standard paper targets.
Maintaining the EZE-SCORER is incredibly easy. There’s no need for cleaning or special care; simply replace it when it becomes too damaged or worn. It requires far less maintenance than self-healing targets.
Compared to my previous experiences with flimsy paper targets, the BIR 37039 EZE-SCORER is a significant upgrade. Its durability, ease of use, and clear scoring rings make it a superior choice for both beginner and experienced shooters. It definitely outperforms my previous expectations.
