Let’s Dive into BECK TEK, LLC (TEKMAT) TEKR20SIGP238 Sig Sauer P238 Ultra Premium Handgun Cleani
The BECK TEK, LLC (TEKMAT) TEKR20SIGP238 Sig Sauer P238 Ultra Premium Handgun Cleani is designed to provide a safe and organized workspace for cleaning your Sig Sauer P238. This mat combines a detailed parts diagram of the P238 with a non-slip surface to protect your firearm and work area during cleaning and maintenance. For years, I’ve relied on a patchwork of old towels and makeshift surfaces, resulting in scratched surfaces and lost springs.
My need for a dedicated cleaning mat arose from frustration with damaging firearm finishes and constantly misplacing small parts during cleaning. I was seeking a solution that not only protected my firearms but also offered a visual guide for reassembly. Initially, I considered generic gun cleaning mats and even cutting my own from rubber sheeting.
Upon unboxing, I was immediately impressed by the generous size and the quality of the TEKMAT. The thermoplastic rubber felt durable and provided a secure, non-slip surface. It was a noticeable upgrade compared to the thin, flimsy mats I had seen in some sporting goods stores.
I had also considered the ProMat Gun Cleaning Mat, and a similar mat from Real Avid, but the TEKMAT specifically catered to the Sig Sauer P238. The detailed parts diagram printed directly on the mat was the deciding factor. My initial impression was excitement; a well-organized and protected cleaning workspace was finally within reach.
Real-World Testing: Putting BECK TEK, LLC (TEKMAT) TEKR20SIGP238 Sig Sauer P238 Ultra Premium Handgun Cleani to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the TEKMAT on my workbench during the cleaning of my Sig Sauer P238 after a range session. The mat provided ample space, preventing any cleaning solvent from reaching the workbench surface. The non-slip surface kept the pistol and parts in place, even when applying pressure during cleaning.
The TEKMAT performed flawlessly in my well-lit garage, though I imagine the black color could make it slightly harder to see small parts in poorly lit environments. The diagram was invaluable, guiding me through the disassembly and reassembly process with ease. There were no issues, only the satisfaction of a cleaner pistol and an organized workspace.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of weekly use, the TEKMAT continues to hold up remarkably well. There are no signs of wear or tear, even with regular exposure to gun cleaning solvents. Cleaning the mat is simple; a quick wipe-down with a damp cloth removes any residue.
Compared to my previous cleaning methods, the TEKMAT is a significant upgrade in both convenience and protection. The mat provides a dedicated, organized workspace, eliminating the risk of damage to the firearm or the work surface. It has definitely exceeded my expectations.

Performance & Functionality
The BECK TEK, LLC (TEKMAT) TEKR20SIGP238 Sig Sauer P238 Ultra Premium Handgun Cleani excels at its primary job: providing a safe, organized, and protected cleaning surface for the Sig Sauer P238. The parts diagram is a significant advantage.

Accessories and Customization Options
The TEKMAT itself does not come with accessories, as it’s a standalone cleaning mat. However, it pairs well with any standard gun cleaning kit designed for handguns. The design of the mat is specific to the Sig Sauer P238, limiting customization options beyond general cleaning supplies.
