First Impressions of Anarchy Outdoors Fast Flow Muzzleloader Powder Funnel
Muzzleloading, steeped in tradition, can be a slow and meticulous process. It’s a connection to the past, a deliberate act, but modern innovations can enhance the experience without sacrificing that connection. The Anarchy Outdoors Fast Flow Muzzleloader Powder Funnel aims to do just that: streamline powder loading without compromising accuracy or the ritual of muzzleloading.
I’ve been muzzleloading for over a decade, and one of my biggest frustrations has always been powder spillage. Traditional funnels are often too short, especially when using a muzzleloader with a brake. I was constantly searching for a solution that would improve my reloading efficiency, particularly during competitions where every second counts.
The Anarchy Outdoors Fast Flow Muzzleloader Powder Funnel arrived in a simple, no-frills package. My initial thought was, “This looks robust.” The aluminum construction felt solid, and the extended funnel length was exactly what I was looking for. The weight, or lack thereof, was also immediately noticeable and welcome.
I considered other funnels, including a brass model from a well-known brand and a generic plastic option. The brass funnel was significantly heavier, and I worried about scratching the bore. The plastic one felt flimsy and likely to crack with repeated use. Anarchy Outdoors’ aluminum design seemed like the perfect balance of durability and lightness.
My first impression was overwhelmingly positive. This funnel felt like a well-thought-out solution to a common muzzleloading problem, promising a cleaner, faster, and more enjoyable reloading experience. I was eager to put it to the test.
Real-World Testing: Putting Anarchy Outdoors Fast Flow Muzzleloader Powder Funnel to the Test
First Use Experience
My first trial of the Anarchy Outdoors Fast Flow Muzzleloader Powder Funnel took place at my local shooting range. The weather was typical for early fall: slightly damp and cool. I was testing a new powder load with my .50 caliber CVA Accura MR-X.
The difference was immediately apparent. The extended funnel length prevented any powder spillage, even when I was trying to load quickly. The powder flowed smoothly and consistently into the barrel.
The funnel required no getting used to; it was intuitive and straightforward. I encountered no issues during the first use, and the increased speed and cleanliness of reloading were a welcome surprise.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of regular use, the Anarchy Outdoors Fast Flow Muzzleloader Powder Funnel has become an indispensable part of my muzzleloading kit. It shows no signs of wear and tear, despite being tossed into my range bag multiple times. The aluminum construction is holding up exceptionally well.
Cleaning is a breeze; a quick wipe with a damp cloth is usually all it takes. Compared to my previous experiences with shorter funnels, the Anarchy Outdoors funnel has significantly reduced the mess and hassle of reloading. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and performance.
