AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP Review

First Impressions of AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP

The AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP promise enhanced visibility and accuracy for one of the most popular micro-compact pistols on the market. As someone who relies on their Hellcat OSP for concealed carry and home defense, I’m always looking for ways to improve its performance. Tritium night sights are a must for any serious defensive firearm, and AmeriGlo has a strong reputation in the industry.

My aging eyes were struggling with the stock sights on my Hellcat OSP, especially in low-light conditions. The small sight picture and lack of clear contrast made target acquisition slow and challenging. I needed sights that were bright, easy to acquire, and durable enough to withstand daily carry.

Unboxing the AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP, I was immediately impressed with the solid construction. The steel sights felt substantial and well-made, not like cheap aftermarket parts. The tritium vials glowed brightly, even in a dimly lit room, and the serrations on the rear sight looked aggressive enough to reduce glare.

I considered other night sight options from Trijicon and XS Sights, but ultimately chose the AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP due to the combination of price and features. The ProGlo front sight with its bright outline seemed ideal for fast target acquisition, while the serrated rear sight promised a clear and uncluttered sight picture. My first impression was one of excited anticipation, hoping these sights would live up to the hype.

Real-World Testing: Putting AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP to the Test

First Use Experience

I installed the AmeriGlo Trooper Sets for Springfield Hellcat OSP myself, using a sight pusher tool to avoid damaging the slide or sights. Installation was straightforward, and the sights fit snugly into the dovetails. My first range trip was during a typical overcast day at my local outdoor range.

The improvement in sight acquisition was immediately noticeable. The bright ProGlo front sight stood out clearly against the target, even in the somewhat dim light. The serrated rear sight eliminated glare and provided a clean, crisp sight picture. I ran several drills, focusing on speed and accuracy, and found that I was consistently faster and more accurate with the AmeriGlo sights compared to the factory sights. There were no initial issues, the sights performed exactly as advertised.

There are no signs of wear or tear, and the tritium vials continue to glow brightly. The finish is durable and has resisted scratches and corrosion, even with constant exposure to sweat and friction from my holster.

Compared to some cheaper aftermarket sights I’ve used in the past, the AmeriGlo sights are a clear step up in terms of durability and reliability. They have significantly outperformed my expectations.
