The AmeriGlo Tall Suppressor Height Sight 3XL Tritium Green w/Black Outline Front Flat Black Rear Black Frame For Glock Ex promises to elevate the shooting experience for Glock users, especially those running suppressors or slide-mounted optics. This sight set is designed to provide a clear and elevated sight picture. AmeriGlo is a well-known brand in the firearm accessory market, and I was eager to see if their suppressor height sights lived up to the hype.
I recently built out a Glock 19 specifically for home defense and wanted a reliable sighting system that could co-witness with a red dot and also be used effectively with a suppressor. The factory Glock sights simply wouldn’t cut it, hence my search for taller, suppressor-ready sights. I’ve used standard AmeriGlo sights before and been happy, so I decided to give these a shot.
Upon opening the package, I was immediately impressed with the robust build quality of the sights. The tritium vials glowed brightly, even in moderate lighting, and the black outline on the front sight was sharp and well-defined. They felt solid and well-made, inspiring confidence right out of the box.
I considered options from Trijicon and Night Fision, both reputable brands with similar offerings. Ultimately, I chose the AmeriGlo sights due to their competitive price point and the positive reviews I had seen regarding their tritium brightness and durability. The AmeriGlo sights seemed to offer the best value proposition for my needs.
My initial impression was overwhelmingly positive. The sights looked and felt like a high-quality upgrade, and I was excited to install them and see how they performed at the range. The promise of improved target acquisition in various lighting conditions was definitely enticing.

My first experience with the AmeriGlo Tall Suppressor Height Sight 3XL Tritium Green w/Black Outline Front Flat Black Rear Black Frame For Glock Ex was at an indoor shooting range. I wanted a controlled environment to get used to the new sight picture and test their accuracy. I used my Glock 19, equipped with the new sights, at distances of 7, 15, and 25 yards.
The sights performed exceptionally well, providing a clear and easy-to-acquire sight picture. The tritium inserts made aiming in the dimly lit range effortless, even when transitioning between brighter and darker areas. The front sight’s black outline was particularly helpful for quickly focusing on the target.
It took a few magazines to adjust to the taller sight height, but once I got used to it, my groupings tightened considerably. I experienced no issues with installation or sight alignment, and the sights felt secure on the slide. My initial testing revealed no immediate drawbacks.

After several months of regular use, the AmeriGlo Tall Suppressor Height Sight 3XL Tritium Green w/Black Outline Front Flat Black Rear Black Frame For Glock Ex have held up remarkably well. There are no noticeable signs of wear and tear on the sight bodies, and the tritium vials still glow brightly. I’ve cleaned the sights regularly with a brush and solvent, and they have resisted corrosion and damage. The finish remains intact.
Maintaining the sights is simple; a quick wipe-down after each range session is usually sufficient. I’ve found them to be significantly more durable than the factory Glock sights, which showed wear much sooner. These AmeriGlo sights inspire confidence in their longevity.
Compared to my previous experiences with standard Glock sights and even some aftermarket fiber optic options, the AmeriGlo sights have significantly outperformed them in low-light performance and overall durability. The AmeriGlo Tall Suppressor Height Sight 3XL Tritium Green w/Black Outline Front Flat Black Rear Black Frame For Glock Ex have exceeded my expectations.

Specifications
The AmeriGlo Tall Suppressor Height Sight 3XL Tritium Green w/Black Outline Front Flat Black Rear Black Frame For Glock Ex is specifically designed for Glock pistols and offers several key specifications:
- Height: The “3XL” designation indicates a height optimized for suppressor use and co-witnessing with slide-mounted red dot optics. This is taller than standard sights to clear suppressors and offer a lower 1/3 co-witness.
- Front Sight: Features a green tritium vial with a black outline for enhanced visibility in varying lighting conditions. This provides a clear and distinct aiming point.
- Rear Sight: A flat black rear sight with a serrated face to reduce glare. The lack of dots on the rear sight helps to focus the eye on the front sight.
- Frame Material: Constructed from durable steel with a black finish for corrosion resistance. The robust steel ensures long-lasting performance.
- Compatibility: Designed to fit all standard Glock models (excluding subcompacts and those with MOS slides unless paired with appropriate adapter plates). Glock compatibility is crucial for seamless installation.
These specifications are essential for shooters who require a versatile sighting system for both suppressed and unsuppressed shooting. The tall height ensures clearance and co-witnessing capability. The tritium and black outline combination provides excellent visibility in diverse lighting conditions.
Performance & Functionality

The only potential weakness is that the taller height might take some getting used to for shooters accustomed to standard-height sights.
