First Thoughts on the Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura
The Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura is a no-frills, affordable handgun case designed to offer basic protection for your firearm. Allen is a well-known name in the outdoor and shooting sports industry, offering a wide range of products at various price points. This particular case aims to provide a simple and reliable solution for storing and transporting handguns up to 9 inches in length, without breaking the bank. The contrasting black and red color scheme adds a touch of visual appeal.
I was looking for an inexpensive way to safely store and transport my growing collection of pistols to and from the range. Hard cases are great for serious protection, but they take up a lot of space in my range bag and are often overkill for routine trips. I needed something soft, compact, and easy to carry.
Upon unboxing (well, unwrapping from the shipping package!), the Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura feels surprisingly well-made for its price. The Endura fabric seems durable, and the stitching appears solid. It’s lightweight, as expected, but doesn’t feel flimsy.
Compared to other similarly priced soft cases I’ve used, like those from Uncle Mike’s or NcStar, the Allen Auto-Fit seems to offer a slightly better fit and finish. I chose the Allen Auto-Fit because of its auto-fit design (a selling point, although I’ll test how well it works), the extra magazine pocket, and the overall positive reputation of Allen products. Plus, the red accent looks sharp!
My first impression was positive. The Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura appears to be a practical and functional handgun case that offers good value for the price. I was excited to see how it would perform in real-world use.
Real-World Testing: Putting Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura at my local shooting range. I transported a Glock 19, a Sig Sauer P365, and a Smith & Wesson Shield in it on separate occasions. The weather was dry and sunny.
The case performed well. The handguns fit snugly inside. The soft knit interior lining did a good job of protecting the finish on my pistols. I was easily able to store extra magazines in the pocket.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, the Allen Auto-Fit 9″ Black/Red Handgun Endura is holding up well. There are no signs of wear and tear on the Endura fabric. The zipper is still functioning smoothly.
The case is easy to clean. I simply wipe it down with a damp cloth after each range trip. It is performing just as expected. This case is much better than some of the cheaper range bags I have tried.
