Let’s Talk About AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR
The AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR from AimShot promises rapid target acquisition and accuracy in diverse conditions. Featuring a true 2 MOA center dot, adjustable brightness, and a green crosshair reticle, it aims to be a versatile optic for both daytime and nighttime use. It boasts ruggedness with its waterproof and shockproof construction, along with an integrated quick release mount for easy attachment.
I was searching for a reflex sight that offered a clear, easily visible reticle in bright daylight conditions. I’ve often struggled with red dots washing out, so the promise of a green crosshair piqued my interest. The built-in inertia switch and night vision compatibility were also attractive features.
My initial impressions upon unboxing were positive; the sight felt solid and well-built. The weight of 8.2 oz felt substantial without being overly heavy. The quick release mount seemed sturdy and easy to operate.
Compared to the Vortex Venom and the Trijicon RMR, the AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR stood out due to its unique green crosshair reticle and lower price point. While the Vortex and Trijicon are known for their durability, I was hoping the AimShot could offer similar performance at a more accessible price. I ultimately chose the AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR because I wanted to test out the green reticle system in a reflex sight.
I was definitely excited to mount it on my AR pistol and see how it performed at the range. The green crosshair looked promising and I anticipated its versatility. I hoped it would perform well and exceed my expectations.
Real-World Testing: Putting AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR at my local outdoor shooting range. The weather was sunny with a slight breeze, providing excellent visibility. I mounted it on my AR-15 pistol chambered in 5.56 NATO.
The sight performed well; the green crosshair was incredibly easy to acquire in the bright daylight. Adjusting the brightness settings was simple and the reticle remained crisp and clear at all intensity levels. Zeroing was straightforward, with easily adjustable windage and elevation dials.
I did notice that the dot blooms slightly at the highest brightness settings. However, it wasn’t enough to significantly affect accuracy. I spent about 3 hours using the reflex sight.

After several months of use, the AIMS HGELITEBGREEN REFLEX SIGHT GREEN CROSSHAIR has held up admirably. It has been through multiple range trips and one hunting excursion. There is a minor scratch near the battery compartment from bumping against a tree.
The finish has proven to be quite durable, with only minor signs of wear and tear. Cleaning has been easy, requiring just a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth. I find myself cleaning the sight after every use to ensure the lens is free of debris.
