For years, I’ve been building AR platforms, both AR-15 and AR-10. I was looking for a .308 upper that could reach out accurately but wasn’t so heavy it became a burden on longer hunts.
The upper arrived in a plain cardboard box, which I appreciated for its discreet nature. My initial impression was that the Aero Precision upper was well-built and solid. The finish was clean and even, and the handguard felt comfortable in my hand.
I considered a couple of other options, including a similar offering from Palmetto State Armory and a custom build using a Criterion barrel. Ultimately, I chose the Aero Precision because of its reputation for quality and the sleek design of the ATLAS R-ONE handguard. I was also drawn to the positive reviews highlighting its accuracy.
I was excited to get this upper onto a lower and hit the range. The build quality and aesthetics gave me high hopes for performance.
