Let’s Talk About Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles
The Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles offers a unique bullpup design and a tan finish, promising a blend of aesthetics and maneuverability for airsoft enthusiasts. Licensed by Steyr Arms, it boasts a high strength polymer receiver and a full metal barrel assembly. But does this airsoft rifle live up to the hype, or does it fall short of expectations?
As a seasoned airsoft player with over a decade of experience, I was drawn to the AUG’s distinctive look and compact design. I needed a reliable AEG for close-quarters combat (CQB) scenarios, something that could offer both accuracy and ease of handling. My first encounter was a mix of excitement and anticipation, hoping that it would become a staple in my arsenal.
Upon unboxing, the tan color immediately caught my eye, giving it a modern, tactical appearance. The weight felt balanced, though slightly heavier than some other polymer-bodied AEGs I’ve handled. The build quality initially seemed solid, with the polymer receiver feeling robust and the metal barrel assembly adding a touch of realism.
Compared to my G&G Combat Machine M4 and a classic Tokyo Marui AK47, the AUG offered a completely different form factor. I picked this AUG for its bullpup design which theoretically should give a longer barrel in a shorter package. However, that unique design didn’t come without its own set of challenges. Initial excitement quickly turned to cautious optimism, as I prepared to field-test this unconventional AEG.
Real-World Testing: Putting Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles to the Test
First Use Experience
I took the Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles to my local indoor airsoft arena for its maiden voyage. The CQB environment would be the perfect testing ground for its maneuverability and accuracy. I tested it in a variety of scenarios, from tight corridors to open rooms, simulating real-world combat situations.
The AUG performed adequately in dry conditions, but I didn’t have the opportunity to test it in wet environments. The ease of use was initially a hurdle; the bullpup design required some getting used to, particularly the magazine changes. I also found the two-stage trigger, designed for semi-auto and full-auto, took some practice to master. The biggest surprise was the initial accuracy, which was decent but not exceptional, even at close ranges.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of skirmishes, the Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles started showing signs of wear. The polymer receiver, while initially robust, began to exhibit some creaking and flexing under stress. Maintenance was relatively straightforward, requiring only basic cleaning and lubrication.
However, my initial optimism was short-lived. After a month of moderate use, the magazine well completely shattered. This made the rifle unusable. It was a frustrating experience, especially considering the purported durability of the polymer material. In comparison to my well-worn G&G M4, which has withstood years of abuse, the AUG proved to be significantly less durable and reliable.
Breaking Down the Features of Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles
Specifications
The Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles features a 20.1-inch barrel length, contributing to its overall accuracy. It boasts a 330-round magazine capacity, allowing for sustained fire during gameplay. The AEG is constructed from a combination of full metal and high strength polymer, balancing weight and durability.
The advertised velocity is 330 – 360 fps, aligning with standard CQB limits. The magazine capacity is decent for suppressing fire. However, the quality of the materials directly impacts the AEG’s long-term reliability and performance. The combination of metal and polymer should provide a good balance of weight and durability.
Performance & Functionality
The Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles initially delivered acceptable accuracy and a moderate rate of fire. However, the reliability issues quickly overshadowed any positive aspects of its performance. The two-stage trigger system was a unique feature. It required a delicate touch to differentiate between semi-auto and full-auto modes.
The AUG’s strengths lie in its unique bullpup design and fully licensed Steyr Arms trademarks. However, the glaring weakness is its subpar durability, as evidenced by the magazine well failure. It did not meet my expectations for a reliable and long-lasting AEG.
Design & Ergonomics
The Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles sports a distinctive bullpup design, making it compact and maneuverable. The tan color gives it a modern, tactical aesthetic. The ergonomics are decent, but the bullpup configuration might not be comfortable for all users, especially those accustomed to traditional rifle platforms.
The build quality is questionable. The polymer receiver’s fragility raises concerns about its long-term durability. There is a learning curve associated with the bullpup design, particularly the magazine changes and trigger manipulation.
Durability & Maintenance
The longevity of the Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles is a significant concern. The magazine well failure after only a month of use is a major red flag. Maintenance is simple enough, but the underlying material quality limits its overall lifespan.
Repairing the shattered magazine well would likely require sourcing a replacement receiver. This could be costly and time-consuming. The inherent fragility of the polymer receiver makes it prone to future damage.
Accessories and Customization Options
The Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles includes a metal 20mm Weaver scope rail, allowing for the attachment of various optics. It also features low profile front and rear flip-up sights as a backup sighting system. These can be used in conjunction with a red dot or scope. The inclusion of an integrated folding vertical grip adds versatility and improves handling.
The AUG is compatible with standard AEG magazines, providing a range of options for customization. Users can easily add aftermarket optics to enhance their aiming capabilities. These accessories and customization options enhance the rifle’s versatility and adaptability to different play styles.

Conclusion on Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles
The Action Sport Games Evike.com Exclusive ASG Steyr Licensed AUG A2 Airsoft AEG Rifles promises a unique airsoft experience with its licensed Steyr design and bullpup configuration. However, its subpar durability and questionable reliability make it a risky investment. The magazine well failure was a deal-breaker, highlighting the significant shortcomings in its construction.
At a price of $199.00, the value proposition is simply not justified. The AUG fails to deliver the performance and longevity expected from an AEG in this price range.
