Real-World Testing: Putting Birchwood Casey Eze-Scorer Oval Silhouette Target 23 x 35 in. 100 Pack to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Birchwood Casey Eze-Scorer Oval Silhouette Target 23 x 35 in. 100 Pack at my local outdoor range on a partly cloudy afternoon. I set up targets at 25, 50, and 100 yards to gauge visibility and accuracy at different distances with both pistol and rifle.
Even in slightly overcast conditions, the bright white paper provided excellent contrast against the dirt backdrop. The targets remained highly visible even at the 100-yard mark. I experienced no issues using thumbtacks to easily mount the paper to my target stand. After first use, the target paper clearly showed the impacts for easy performance assessment.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, the Birchwood Casey targets have proven their durability. The paper stock is robust enough to withstand repeated use, even with larger calibers.
While consistent exposure to heavy rain will obviously damage the paper, the targets held up remarkably well against light moisture and humidity during my outdoor range sessions. Simple patching with target stickers is a quick and effective way to extend their lifespan. Compared to previous target options, these offer superior visibility and hold up well under regular use, truly improving my shooting experience.
