The Action Target High Visibility Fluorescent Modified B-27 Silhouette Paper Target 23″ x 35″ 100 Per Box Made a Bold First Impression
Paper targets. They’re often an afterthought, a necessary evil in the pursuit of marksmanship. But what if a target could actually enhance your training, providing immediate feedback and improving your shot placement? That’s the promise of the Action Target High Visibility Fluorescent Modified B-27 Silhouette Paper Target 23″ x 35″ 100 Per Box. This isn’t just another sheet of paper; it’s a tool designed to elevate your shooting game.
I was tired of squinting to see my groupings on standard targets, especially indoors or in low light conditions. I needed a target that offered instant visual feedback, allowing me to quickly adjust my stance, grip, and trigger pull. The promise of high visibility and clear scoring zones drew me to the Action Target offering.
Unboxing the Action Target High Visibility Fluorescent Modified B-27 Silhouette Paper Target 23″ x 35″ 100 Per Box, I was immediately impressed by the vibrancy of the colors. The black silhouette popped against the fluorescent background, and the scoring rings were clearly defined. The paper stock felt substantial, definitely sturdier than the generic targets I’d been using.
Compared to plain white targets or even some of the cheaper printed options, the difference was night and day. I had considered reactive steel targets, but they weren’t suitable for indoor ranges, and they don’t give you a permanent record of your shot placement like a paper target. This felt like a good compromise. My first impression was excitement – I couldn’t wait to get to the range and see these targets in action!
Real-World Testing: Putting Action Target High Visibility Fluorescent Modified B-27 Silhouette Paper Target 23″ x 35″ 100 Per Box to the Test
First Use Experience
My initial testing took place at an indoor shooting range. The lighting wasn’t ideal, which made standard targets difficult to see clearly. The Action Target targets, however, stood out brilliantly. I was using a 9mm handgun at a distance of 15 yards.
Even with less-than-perfect lighting, the high-visibility colors made it easy to spot my impacts. The fluorescent ink practically glowed under the range lights, providing instant feedback on my shot placement. There was no need to squint or use binoculars to see where my rounds were landing. I didn’t need any time to get used to the target, it was very simple to understand.
There were no surprises, I noticed that the rounds punched clean holes through the paper, without tearing or ripping.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, the Action Target High Visibility Fluorescent Modified B-27 Silhouette Paper Target 23″ x 35″ 100 Per Box continues to impress. I’ve used them in both indoor and outdoor ranges, in varying lighting conditions. They hold up remarkably well.
I noticed no significant wear and tear on the targets themselves, even after multiple sessions with dozens of rounds impacting them. The paper is durable enough to withstand repeated use without tearing excessively. These targets require minimal maintenance, simply replace them when they become too riddled with holes to be useful. In comparison to other targets, these targets provide more visual feedback than standard paper targets.
