The ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black Made a Bold First Impression
As an experienced outdoor and tactical gear specialist with over a decade in the field, I’ve seen my share of range accessories. But even the smallest items can significantly impact your shooting experience. This led me to the ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black, a seemingly simple product promising a practical solution to target maintenance.
I was constantly frustrated with obscured targets at the range. Bullet holes, especially after repeated use, made it difficult to score accurately and track shot placement. After ruining several targets with messy tape and permanent marker attempts at repair, I sought a more professional and efficient solution. I considered larger, more expensive repair kits, but the ACTION TARGET INC pasters seemed like the ideal balance of cost-effectiveness and convenience.
Upon receiving the ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black, I was immediately impressed by the thoughtful packaging. The roll came neatly housed in a small cardboard box, preventing the pasters from unraveling and becoming a tangled mess. This attention to detail indicated a quality product, even before I peeled off the first paster. Compared to using regular tape, which always seems to wrinkle and peel, or clumsily drawing over holes with a marker, these promised a cleaner, more professional result. My initial thought was, “Finally, a simple solution done right!”
Real-World Testing: Putting ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black to the Test
First Use Experience
My first test of the ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black took place at my local outdoor shooting range. It was a typical day, with a slight breeze and clear skies. I used them on standard paper targets at distances ranging from 25 to 100 yards, shooting various calibers including 9mm, .223, and .308.
The application was surprisingly easy. The pasters adhered quickly and firmly to the target, covering bullet holes cleanly and effectively. They even held up well in the slight breeze, not peeling or flapping as I continued shooting. I was immediately impressed by how much easier it was to spot new impacts against the solid black background provided by the pasters.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of regular use, the ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black have proven to be a reliable and worthwhile addition to my range bag. The adhesive remains strong, even after being exposed to varying temperatures and humidity. The pasters show no signs of fading or peeling, maintaining their integrity throughout multiple range sessions.
The pasters demonstrate excellent durability. Despite being paper-based, they resist tearing and crumbling, even after being hit by stray shots. Cleaning my targets and prepping them with new pasters has become a quick and simple process. Compared to using large rolls of masking tape or attempting to salvage targets with markers, these pasters are a significant improvement in terms of both efficiency and overall target quality.
Breaking Down the Features of ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black
Specifications
The ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black are a simple yet effective range accessory. Each roll contains 1000 individual pasters, providing ample supply for numerous shooting sessions. The pasters measure 7/8″ square, a size I found ideal for covering most common bullet holes without obscuring too much of the target face.
The self-adhesive backing ensures quick and easy application, while the black color offers high contrast against most standard target backgrounds. The inclusion of a box to store the roll is a thoughtful touch, preventing the pasters from unraveling and keeping them organized. This seemingly small detail significantly improves the overall user experience.
Performance & Functionality
The ACTION TARGET INC Square Target Pasters 7/8″ 1000 Per Roll Black perform their job exceptionally well. They effectively cover bullet holes, allowing for continued use of targets and improved shot tracking. The main strength of these pasters lies in their simplicity and effectiveness. However, they are not designed for repairing large tears or completely reconstructing damaged targets. For minor bullet holes, they are a perfect solution, but for severely damaged targets, a full target replacement is still necessary. Overall, the ACTION TARGET INC pasters meet and exceed my expectations for a product in this category.
