The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with Iver Johnson Arms PAS12SN 12GA Made a Bold First Impression

The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with Iver Johnson Arms PAS12SN 12GA promises to breathe new life into the Iver Johnson Arms PAS12SN 12GA shotgun, transforming it from a standard shotgun into a more versatile, tactical platform. It aims to enhance maneuverability, improve ergonomics, and offer a more personalized fit for the shooter. I was intrigued to see if it could live up to its promises.

I’ve always believed in the adaptability of firearms, and my Iver Johnson PAS12SN, while reliable, lacked the adjustability needed for various shooting scenarios. I needed a shorter length of pull for tighter spaces and the option to collapse the stock for storage and transport. The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with Iver Johnson Arms PAS12SN 12GA appeared to be the ideal solution.

The package arrived in a plain cardboard box. Inside, the buttstock assembly was well-protected. My initial impression was positive; the materials felt sturdy, and the pistol grip had a comfortable, ergonomic design. The folding mechanism appeared robust and easy to operate, and the adjustable length-of-pull settings were immediately appealing.

I considered several other options, including a fixed pistol grip stock and a traditional adjustable AR-style stock adapter. I ultimately chose this model because of its integrated folding mechanism and the promise of a direct, no-modification fit for the Iver Johnson PAS12SN. I was hopeful that this would be a truly plug-and-play upgrade.

My first impression was one of cautious optimism. I was excited about the potential benefits of the Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with Iver Johnson Arms PAS12SN 12GA, but also concerned about the potential for fitment issues or a drop in overall build quality compared to the original stock. Only real-world testing would tell.

The Folding Tactical Buttstock with Pistol Grip Adjustable and Collapsible Compatible with Iver Johnson Arms PAS12SN 12GA performs its job admirably. The improved control provided by the pistol grip translates to faster target acquisition and more accurate follow-up shots. The adjustable length of pull allows shooters of different sizes to find a comfortable and stable shooting platform.

The folding mechanism, while initially stiff, now operates smoothly and locks securely in both the open and folded positions. The stock feels solid and provides a stable platform for firing. A weakness could be the long term durability of the folding mechanism, which will depend on the specific design and materials.

Overall, the stock meets and even slightly exceeds expectations, considering its affordable price point. It offers a significant upgrade in terms of handling and ergonomics compared to the original stock, without compromising reliability or durability.

Design & Ergonomics

The build quality is surprisingly good for the price. The polymer material feels robust and well-molded, with no noticeable flex or creaking. The pistol grip is ergonomically designed, providing a comfortable and secure hold, even with gloved hands. The stock’s weight is well-balanced, adding minimal extra weight to the shotgun.
