The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray Made a Bold First Impression
As someone who’s lugged firearms and tactical gear around for over a decade, I’ve seen my share of rifle cases. I’ve wrestled with bulky singles, struggled to keep gear organized in oversized bags, and even resorted to jury-rigged solutions that frankly, looked ridiculous. When I first saw the Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray, I was intrigued by the promise of a single case handling multiple rifles and expandable to accommodate extra gear.
I needed a solution that could transport two AR-platform rifles, along with optics, magazines, and cleaning supplies, without looking like I was preparing for a small-scale invasion. Unboxing the Universal Soldier case, my initial impression was positive. The black and gray color scheme is understated, and the materials felt robust. The build quality seemed solid, especially considering the $87.99 price tag.
I’ve previously used a basic two-rifle soft case from Voodoo Tactical and a rigid Plano rifle case. The Voodoo Tactical case was fine for basic transport, but lacked structured organization. The Plano case offered excellent protection but was bulky and impractical for carrying accessories. The Advance Warrior Solutions case aimed for a middle ground: decent protection with superior organization and expandable capacity. I picked this over the others because the expandability looked to be an innovative concept.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. The Universal Soldier case looked like a potentially great solution. I was excited to see how it would perform in real-world use.
Real-World Testing: Putting Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray to the Test
First Use Experience
My first field test of the Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray was a trip to my local shooting range. I loaded it with two AR-15 rifles, each equipped with optics, along with six 30-round magazines, a cleaning kit, and a small range bag with tools. The range was outdoors, and the weather was mild but slightly dusty.
The case handled the weight surprisingly well, and the shoulder straps made it comfortable to carry, even when fully loaded. The internal dividers kept the rifles securely in place, preventing them from banging against each other during transport. I found the expandable pockets extremely useful for stashing extra ammunition and my hearing protection. No issues arose during the first range day.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of regular use, the Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray has held up remarkably well. I’ve used it in a variety of conditions, from sunny range days to slightly damp and muddy outings. There are no signs of significant wear and tear. The stitching remains intact, and the zippers still function smoothly.
Cleaning the case is straightforward. A simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dust and dirt. I did spill some cleaning solvent inside once, and it cleaned up easily without staining or damaging the material. Compared to my previous experiences with basic soft cases, the Universal Soldier definitely offers superior durability and organization.
