This TruGlo sight set aims to deliver just that, with its contrasting colors and fiber optic technology, all while maintaining a snag-free profile for everyday carry.
I’ve been struggling with the stock sights on my XD-S for a while now; they just don’t offer the visibility I need in low-light conditions. I was looking for a sight system that would improve target acquisition speed and accuracy, especially in less-than-ideal lighting.
Upon unboxing, the first thing that struck me was the solid feel of the CNC-machined steel construction. They felt robust and well-made, inspiring confidence that they could withstand the rigors of regular use. Compared to other aftermarket sights I’ve handled, the TruGlo set seemed to strike a good balance between durability and a streamlined design.
I considered other options, including tritium sights and painted sight sets, but ultimately chose the TruGlo due to its fiber optic technology promising superior brightness in daylight and enhanced visibility in low light, without the reliance on battery power. Also, the price point of $42.99 made it a very attractive and economical upgrade. My initial impression was definitely one of excitement – I couldn’t wait to get these sights installed and see how they performed on the range.
