The initial range test took place at my local outdoor shooting range, under sunny but slightly windy conditions. I mounted the Hogue Taurus Med. & Lg. Sq. Butt Handgun Grip Rosewood Butt Ck. 66925 on my Taurus 66, a medium-frame .357 Magnum revolver. Recoil felt noticeably reduced, allowing for faster follow-up shots and tighter groupings. The rosewood, despite its smooth appearance, offered surprising tackiness, ensuring a firm grip even when my hands became damp with perspiration.
Installation was straightforward, requiring only a few minutes and a standard screwdriver. After about 50 rounds, I did notice a slight initial loosening of the screw. However, a quick tightening resolved the issue.

After several months of consistent use, the Hogue Taurus Med. & Lg. Sq. Butt Handgun Grip Rosewood Butt Ck. 66925 continues to perform admirably. There are no cracks or splits in the wood. The grip remains securely attached to my Taurus 66, requiring only occasional screw tightening.
The rosewood has developed a beautiful patina over time, further enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
