The ArmaLaser TR-Series for SIG Sauer Red Laser Sight Made a Bold First Impression
The ArmaLaser TR-Series for SIG Sauer Red Laser Sight promises to enhance the capabilities of the popular SIG Sauer P365. This laser sight boasts Grip-Touch Activation and an ultra-bright red laser. ArmaLaser aims to deliver a rock-solid, easily installed aiming solution for everyday carry.
I was looking for a way to improve my target acquisition speed in low-light conditions. The P365 is my EDC, and I wanted a laser that wouldn’t significantly increase its size or weight. After hearing about its intuitive activation, I decided to try the ArmaLaser TR-Series.
The packaging was simple and functional. Upon opening, the laser sight felt surprisingly robust despite its compact size. The materials seemed high-quality, and the fit and finish appeared excellent.
I considered the Crimson Trace LG-422 and the Streamlight TLR-6. I ultimately chose the ArmaLaser TR-Series due to its grip activation and reputation for a secure mount. Other laser sights often rely on push-button activation, which felt less intuitive to me.
My first impression was positive. The ArmaLaser TR-Series seemed well-engineered and potentially a significant upgrade for my P365. I was eager to see how it performed at the range.
Real-World Testing: Putting ArmaLaser TR-Series for SIG Sauer Red Laser Sight to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the ArmaLaser TR-Series at my local indoor shooting range. I used a standard SIG Sauer P365 target at distances of 7, 10, and 15 yards. The range was well-lit initially, then I requested they dim the lights to simulate low-light conditions.
The laser proved incredibly easy to acquire, even in near darkness. The Grip-Touch Activation was extremely intuitive; it activated the laser the moment I established a proper grip. There were no accidental activations during drawing or holstering.
The only initial issue was that the laser was slightly off from the factory pre-sight. I had to make a minor windage adjustment to align it with my point of impact. After the adjustment, it was dead on.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of consistent use, the ArmaLaser TR-Series has proven to be reliable. The mount remains rock solid, and I haven’t noticed any loosening or shifting. It continues to hold its zero after repeated firing.
There are no signs of significant wear and tear. The finish has held up well to daily carry and repeated drawing from my holster. I wipe down the laser with a clean cloth after each range visit and occasionally check the battery.
It far outperforms other laser sights I’ve used in the past in terms of activation speed and ease of use. The Grip-Touch Activation is a game-changer. My previous experiences with push-button lasers were often clumsy and slow.
