For years, I’d relied on open-top holsters, prioritizing speed over absolute retention. But a near-miss during a training exercise, where my sidearm almost dislodged during a scramble, changed my perspective entirely. I needed a holster that provided a positive lock, but without sacrificing draw speed and the Safariland 6367 ALS Belt Slide Holster – STX Tactical Black, Left 6367-920-132 appeared to be the ideal solution.
My initial impression upon unboxing was one of robust quality. The STX Tactical Black finish provided a subtle, professional look. The holster felt lightweight yet incredibly durable; the molded construction gave me confidence in its ability to withstand daily wear and tear.
Compared to a similar Blackhawk Serpa holster and a Blade-Tech Total Eclipse, the Safariland 6367 ALS Belt Slide Holster – STX Tactical Black, Left 6367-920-132 stood out due to its simpler, more intuitive release mechanism and customizable belt loop options. I chose the Safariland over the others due to Safariland’s reputation for quality and the ALS system seemed more reliable than the Serpa’s button release. It definitely excited me – a duty-grade holster that seemed perfect for concealed carry!
