The Viridian E Series for Sig Sauer P365 Laser Sight Made a Bold First Impression
The Viridian E Series for Sig Sauer P365 Laser Sight promises enhanced accuracy and faster target acquisition for one of the most popular concealed carry pistols on the market. As an experienced gear specialist, I was eager to see if this laser sight could live up to the hype and deliver on its promise of improved performance for everyday carry. I’ve spent years advising customers on the best sighting solutions, and I know that not all lasers are created equal; many fall short when it comes to durability, ease of use, and practical application.
What drove me to try this product was the need for a compact and reliable laser sight for my Sig P365, primarily for low-light defensive scenarios. I wanted something that wouldn’t significantly increase the size of my pistol while still providing a clear and easily visible aiming point. Upon unboxing the Viridian E Series, my initial impression was positive: the unit felt lightweight yet sturdy. It was constructed of what appeared to be durable polymer.
I considered other laser sights, including those from Streamlight and Crimson Trace, but I opted for the Viridian E Series due to its compact design and the Viridian brand’s reputation for quality. My initial thought was excitement mixed with a healthy dose of skepticism; I hoped it would enhance my Sig P365’s capabilities, but I was prepared to scrutinize its performance rigorously. It had to stand up to the Viridian reputation.
Real-World Testing: Putting Viridian E Series for Sig Sauer P365 Laser Sight to the Test
First Use Experience
My first experience with the Viridian E Series was at an indoor shooting range, where I tested it in both well-lit and low-light conditions. The laser was easy to mount to the Sig Sauer P365’s trigger guard, and the ambidextrous on/off button was conveniently located. In the low-light environment, the green laser was exceptionally bright and easily visible on the target, significantly improving my aiming speed. The laser proved beneficial for fast target acquisition.
However, in bright sunlight, the green laser was less visible, which is a common limitation of green lasers, but something I needed to take note of. After initial sighting in, the laser held its zero through several magazines. I did find that the activation button required a deliberate press, preventing accidental activation, but potentially slowing down engagement slightly.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, including regular range sessions and carrying the pistol daily, the Viridian E Series held up remarkably well. The polymer housing showed no signs of significant wear and tear, and the laser continued to function reliably. Maintenance was minimal; I simply wiped down the unit with a clean cloth after each range session. The Viridian sight outperformed some other laser sights I’ve used, particularly in terms of its compact size and ease of installation.
Compared to cheaper laser options, the Viridian sight held its zero far better and the activation switch was more reliable. It gave me more confidence when using it. The Viridian E Series for Sig Sauer P365 Laser Sight proved to be a valuable addition to my concealed carry setup.
