The Viridian Weapon Technologies X5L Gen 3 LED Weapon – 1 out of 2 models isn’t just another weapon-mounted light; it’s a complete aiming and identification solution packed into a compact package. Manufactured by Viridian Weapon Technologies, this device aims to redefine personal protection, training, and even recreational shooting. Boasting features like a powerful green laser, a 500-lumen LED light, and for some models, even HD video and audio recording, the X5L Gen 3 series promises advanced technology at your fingertips.
I’d been searching for a reliable, all-in-one solution for my home defense pistol. I needed something that offered both enhanced target acquisition in low-light conditions and the capability to record any potential encounters for evidentiary purposes.
The unboxing experience was impressive. The unit felt solid and well-built, with a noticeable heft that spoke to its quality construction. The materials felt durable, and the overall design appeared sleek and functional.
I considered the Streamlight TLR-VIR and the SureFire X400 Ultra, both reputable options. However, the integrated camera and the purportedly superior visibility of the green laser in the Viridian X5L CAM model swayed me. My initial impression was excitement tempered with a healthy dose of skepticism – could this device truly deliver on its promises?
