HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR Review

First Thoughts on the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR

As an experienced outdoor and tactical gear specialist, I’ve handled countless pieces of equipment designed to enhance the hunting experience. When I first laid eyes on the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR, I was immediately drawn to its unique zebra wood pot and crystal glass striking surface. This isn’t just another mass-produced call; it promises a blend of aesthetics and functionality that piqued my interest.

I was searching for a turkey call that offered both realistic sound and rugged dependability for my upcoming spring season. The market is saturated with calls, many of which sound identical or lack the durability needed for harsh field conditions. The HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS reputation for quality craftsmanship and unique designs influenced my decision to try the EXTERMINTR.

Unboxing the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR was a pleasant surprise. The zebra wood pot felt solid and well-balanced in my hand, showcasing a beautiful grain pattern. The crystal glass striking surface appeared smooth and pristine, promising clear, crisp tones. Compared to my old slate call, which felt worn and sounded muffled, the EXTERMINTR seemed like a significant upgrade. I was initially excited by the potential of a call that could look as good as it sounds.

First impressions matter, and the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR made a positive one. The initial feel and look of the call gave me a sense of optimism about its performance in the field.

Real-World Testing: Putting HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR to the Test

First Use Experience

My first experience with the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR was during a pre-season scouting trip in the Ozark Mountains. The weather was unpredictable, with alternating periods of light rain and sunshine, presenting an ideal test environment.

The call was surprisingly easy to use right out of the box. The crystal surface produced a clean, sharp sound with minimal effort, and I was able to create convincing yelps, clucks, and purrs almost immediately. There was an initial concern with the crystal surface being slippery when wet, but this was easily remedied with a quick wipe.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of use during the turkey hunting season, the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR has proven to be a reliable and effective tool. The zebra wood pot has held up well, showing no signs of cracking or splitting, even after repeated exposure to moisture.

The crystal surface has retained its smoothness and clarity, and the call continues to produce consistent, realistic sounds. Cleaning is straightforward; a simple wipe with a soft cloth after each use is sufficient to maintain its performance. Compared to my previous call, the HOOK’S CUSTOM CALLS EXTERMINTR offers superior sound quality and improved durability.
