The USED EDEMO Trijicon HD XR Night Sight Set, Yellow – 1 out of 46 models represents a significant upgrade for pistol owners looking to enhance their low-light shooting capabilities and improve target acquisition speed. Trijicon is a name synonymous with quality and reliability in the optics world, and the HD XR series builds upon their reputation with a focus on a thinner front sight post for enhanced field of view. These sights promise faster target identification and engagement, even at longer distances, making them a popular choice for both tactical users and everyday carry enthusiasts.
I needed to replace the aging sights on my Glock 19. I was searching for sights that offered superior visibility in low light conditions, while also providing a clear and precise sight picture during the day.
Upon unboxing, I immediately noticed the robust construction and the bright yellow front sight. The sights felt solid and well-made, instilling confidence in their durability.
Compared to standard Glock sights, or even some aftermarket options like the XS Sights Big Dot, the Trijicon HD XR aims for a balance between speed and precision. I chose these over the XS Sights due to my desire for a narrower front sight. My first impression was excitement, as the bright yellow front sight immediately stood out and seemed like it would provide excellent visibility.

Breaking Down the Features of USED EDEMO Trijicon HD XR Night Sight Set, Yellow – 1 out of 46 models
Specifications
- Thinner Front Sight (0.122 inch): This allows for a larger field of view, enhancing target identification and engagement at longer distances. The thinner profile helps to minimize obscuration of the target.
- Yellow Front Sight Outline: The bright yellow photoluminescent paint is designed to quickly draw the eye to the front post in all lighting conditions. This increases visibility and quickens front sight acquisition.
- Green Tritium Lamps: These provide a constant glow in low-light and no-light situations, ensuring the sights are always visible. Trijicon warrants the lamps for 12 years from the date of manufacture.
- “U” Notch Rear Sight: The wider U-shaped notch is designed to work in conjunction with the thinner front sight for faster target acquisition. The black outlined rear sight minimizes distraction and focuses the shooter’s eye on the front sight.
