First Use Experience

My first opportunity to field-test the Duel Game Calls Stretchback Deer Grunt Call came during the early archery season in the Appalachian Mountains. The weather was cool and damp, creating a typical challenging hunting environment.

The Duel Game Calls Stretchback Deer Grunt Call performed admirably in the wet conditions. Unlike some plastic calls that can freeze up or become slick, the rubber construction maintained its grip and the sound remained consistent. It was easy to adjust the tone by manipulating the stretchback tube, creating a range of grunts from deep, resonant buck calls to higher-pitched yearling sounds.

The call was surprisingly easy to use, even with gloved hands. A few practice runs before heading into the stand was more than enough. I found myself quickly adapting to the feel of the rubber tube and able to produce subtle changes in tone with minimal effort.

Initially, I noticed a slight rubbery smell, but it quickly dissipated. After a few calling sequences, a young buck responded aggressively and closed in, offering a clean shot.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of use throughout the hunting season, the Duel Game Calls Stretchback Deer Grunt Call has held up well. There are no signs of significant wear and tear, and the rubber remains flexible and responsive.
