Let’s Dive into Safariland 6365 ALS Level III w/ Drop UBL Holster – Basket Black, Left Hand 6365-7442-82
The Safariland 6365 ALS Level III w/ Drop UBL Holster – Basket Black, Left Hand 6365-7442-82 is a purpose-built holster designed for law enforcement and tactical professionals who demand secure weapon retention and rapid accessibility. Crafted by the esteemed Safariland, a leader in law enforcement equipment, this holster boasts Level III retention, a drop UBL (Universal Belt Loop) mount, and the renowned ALS (Automatic Locking System). Its basket weave finish adds a touch of professional aesthetics. I have spent years searching for the “perfect” holster that balances speed, security, and comfort, and my initial impressions of the 6365 suggest it might just be the one.
My previous holster offered inadequate retention during dynamic training scenarios, constantly leaving me feeling exposed. I needed a holster that provided a higher level of security without sacrificing draw speed.
Upon unboxing, the holster felt solid and well-constructed. The basket weave finish provides a secure grip and looks professional. Compared to my old kydex holster, the Safariland felt significantly more robust.
I considered the Blackhawk Serpa Level 3 and the Bianchi Accumold Elite, but the Safariland‘s ALS system and reputation for durability swayed my decision. The Serpa felt less secure in its locking mechanism, and the Bianchi lacked the same level of positive retention.
My first impression was one of cautious optimism. I was excited about the potential for increased security, but also slightly concerned about adapting to the ALS release mechanism.
