What Makes Safariland Model 6072ubl Hi-ride Universal Belt – 1 out of 3 models Stand Out?
In a world saturated with tactical gear, standing out requires more than just a brand name. The Safariland Model 6072ubl Hi-ride Universal Belt – 1 out of 3 models promises a blend of accessibility, comfort, and Safariland’s renowned durability. Its “Hi-ride” design, coupled with a universal belt loop system, piqued my interest.
I was on the hunt for a belt attachment that would raise my holster slightly higher. This would allow for quicker draws and prevent the bottom of the holster from digging into my thigh while seated in a vehicle. I was looking for something more versatile than a dedicated platform.
Upon receiving the Safariland Model 6072ubl Hi-ride Universal Belt – 1 out of 3 models, I immediately noticed its robust construction. The materials felt durable, and the design appeared well-thought-out. It felt lighter than expected, a welcome surprise.
Compared to a standard belt loop or a MOLLE attachment, this offered a distinct advantage in terms of ride height adjustability. Other products I considered lacked the upward lift and adaptable belt width. This belt loop offers a versatile mounting solution.
My initial impression was one of cautious optimism. Safariland usually delivers quality. I hoped this UBL would live up to the brand’s reputation.
Real-World Testing: Putting Safariland Model 6072ubl Hi-ride Universal Belt – 1 out of 3 models to the Test

My first trial came during a day at the shooting range, specifically focusing on drawing drills. I paired it with a Safariland ALS holster. The improvement in draw speed was immediately noticeable.
The Safariland Model 6072ubl Hi-ride Universal Belt – 1 out of 3 models was also tested during a rainy outdoor training session. Even with the added weight of a fully loaded firearm, the UBL remained stable. There was no slippage or unwanted movement.
The “Hi-ride” feature required a minor adjustment to my usual draw stroke. However, after a few repetitions, it became second nature. The new higher position was far more comfortable than my previous setup.
Initially, I was concerned about the rigidity of the UBL against my hip. That concern proved unfounded. The design distributed the weight evenly.

Maintenance has been minimal. A simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. The UBL is not affected by exposure to sweat and grime.
In the past, I’ve used similar belt attachments that quickly developed play or looseness. This Safariland product has proven to be significantly more durable and reliable. It outperforms all expectations.
