What Makes Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator Stand Out?
The Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator isn’t your typical muzzle device. Instead of taming recoil or suppressing flash, this innovative product focuses on directing sound. Infinite Product Solutions aims to solve a common problem, the jarring blast experienced by the shooter and those nearby. It promises to be an effective sound forwarding solution, making it a unique offering in the realm of firearm accessories.
As an outdoor and tactical gear specialist with over a decade of experience, I’ve grown accustomed to the concussive force of firearms. I was intrigued by the concept of redirecting sound, especially during extended range sessions or collaborative training exercises, where minimizing noise exposure is essential for communication and comfort. The potential benefits for hunting scenarios, reducing the risk of spooking nearby game, also piqued my interest.
Upon unboxing, the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator immediately impressed me with its robust construction. The Graphite Black Cerakote finish provides a sleek, tactical aesthetic and suggests excellent corrosion resistance. The weight of 17.92 oz feels substantial, indicating the use of quality materials, and the overall build quality exudes confidence.
While various muzzle brakes and compensators attempt to manage sound alongside recoil, few products dedicate themselves solely to sound redirection. Compared to a traditional muzzle brake that might exacerbate the sound issue for those nearby, this compensator offers a different approach. Its closest relative might be a linear compensator, but the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator distinguishes itself with its extended 12-inch length, promising a more focused redirection of sound.
My initial impression was one of cautious optimism. The concept is sound (pun intended), and the build quality appears excellent. I was eager to put it to the test and determine whether it lives up to its promise of significantly reducing the perceived sound level for the shooter and bystanders.
Real-World Testing: Putting Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator to the Test
First Use Experience
My first opportunity to test the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator was at an outdoor shooting range. I mounted it on an AR-15 platform chambered in 5.56 NATO. The range offered a variety of shooting distances and scenarios, providing a good environment to assess its performance.
The difference was immediately noticeable. The sharp crack of the rifle felt significantly reduced, particularly at the shooter’s position. While the overall sound level remained similar downrange, the perceived pressure wave against my ears was much less intense. This made for a more comfortable and less fatiguing shooting experience.
Using the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator felt natural and intuitive. No adjustments or special techniques were required. It seamlessly integrated with the firearm and didn’t impact handling or maneuverability.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of consistent use, the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator has proven to be a reliable and effective addition to my range setup. It has become my go-to muzzle device when I prioritize sound management over recoil reduction. The Cerakote finish has held up remarkably well. There are no signs of wear or corrosion despite repeated exposure to powder residue and cleaning solvents.
Maintaining the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator is incredibly straightforward. A simple wipe-down with a solvent-soaked cloth after each shooting session is sufficient to remove any accumulated carbon buildup. The storage cap is a welcome addition. It keeps the interior clean and protected when the compensator is not in use.
Compared to other muzzle devices I’ve used, the Infinite Product Solutions 12in Redirect Compensator occupies a unique niche. It doesn’t offer the recoil reduction of a muzzle brake nor the flash suppression of a flash hider. However, it excels at its primary purpose: redirecting sound away from the shooter and nearby individuals, leading to a significant improvement in shooting comfort, and has made a marked difference in my enjoyment of the shooting sport.
