Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s Review

First Impressions of Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s

The Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s promise a trifecta of features crucial for any serious bowhunter: waterproof protection, windproof resilience, and touchscreen compatibility. Manzella, a brand known for crafting quality outdoor apparel, aims to deliver a glove that keeps your hands warm, dry, and connected, all while maintaining the dexterity needed for a successful hunt. Do these gloves live up to the high expectations set by experienced hunters?

As an avid bowhunter myself, I’ve lost too many opportunities due to frozen fingers fumbling with my release or missing a crucial photo op because I couldn’t operate my phone. I specifically needed gloves that offered both protection from the elements and the ability to use my touchscreen devices without removing them.

Upon receiving the Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s, I was immediately impressed with the softshell material and the Realtree Xtra camo pattern. The gloves felt lightweight, yet substantial enough to provide adequate warmth. Compared to my older, bulkier hunting gloves, the Manzella gloves felt far more streamlined, promising improved dexterity. My initial impression was one of cautious optimism; the gloves looked and felt good, but the real test would come in the field.

Real-World Testing: Putting Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s to the Test

First Use Experience

My first foray with the Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s was on a late-season deer hunt in the Pennsylvania mountains. Temperatures hovered around freezing, with a biting wind and occasional sleet flurries. I spent several hours in my treestand, glassing for deer and waiting for the perfect shot opportunity.

The gloves performed admirably in the cold and wind; my hands remained surprisingly warm and comfortable despite the harsh conditions. Using my phone to check weather updates and send texts was surprisingly easy; the touchscreen compatibility worked reliably with minimal frustration. However, after a few hours in the sleet, I noticed the outer shell becoming slightly damp, although my hands remained dry thanks to the waterproof membrane.

Extended Use & Reliability

After a full hunting season of use, the Manzella Manzella Whitetail ST Touch Tip Gloves – Men’s have become a staple in my hunting gear. The durability has proven to be excellent; there are no signs of significant wear and tear, even after repeatedly brushing against tree limbs and handling hunting equipment. The gloves have been easy to clean; a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient.

Compared to previous hunting gloves I’ve used, the Manzella gloves strike a great balance between warmth, dexterity, and touchscreen compatibility. They outperform older, bulkier gloves in terms of ease of use and tactile sensitivity. While not as warm as heavily insulated gloves, they offer sufficient protection for most hunting conditions, especially when paired with glove liners for extreme cold.

Repairing minor tears or damages is possible with basic sewing skills. However, major damage to the waterproof membrane may require professional repair or replacement.
