My journey to the First String Premium String Kit 1203564 stemmed from a frustrating experience with the stock strings on my compound bow. After a particularly challenging hunting season, where inconsistent string performance cost me a clean shot at a trophy buck, I knew an upgrade was essential. I needed strings that could withstand harsh conditions, maintain consistent tension, and ultimately improve my accuracy.

Upon unboxing, the First String Premium String Kit 1203564 exudes quality. The material has a noticeably robust feel, and the serving is tight and professional. The color combination of brown and green is subtle and practical, blending seamlessly with my hunting setup.

Before choosing the First String kit, I considered options from Winners Choice and Vapor Trail. Ultimately, I chose First String due to their reputation for durability and the all-inclusive nature of their kit. I was eager to see if the investment would translate into improved performance in the field. My first impression was one of cautious optimism; the build quality seemed excellent, and I was excited to see if it lived up to the hype.

Real-World Testing: Putting First String Premium String Kit 1203564 to the Test

First Use Experience

I tested the First String Premium String Kit 1203564 at my local archery range and in the rugged terrain of the nearby national forest. The range provided controlled conditions to dial in the string and cable settings, while the forest offered a realistic hunting environment to assess performance under pressure. The weather during testing varied from dry and sunny to damp and chilly, providing a range of conditions.

The initial setup required some fine-tuning to achieve the correct draw length and peep sight alignment. Once dialed in, however, the difference was immediately noticeable. The draw cycle felt smoother and more consistent compared to the stock strings. There were no immediate issues, but I reserved full judgment until I could subject the strings to more demanding conditions.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of consistent use, the First String Premium String Kit 1203564 has proven its worth. The strings have retained their tension remarkably well, requiring minimal adjustments. I’ve taken the bow on multiple hunting trips, exposing it to rain, mud, and extreme temperature fluctuations.

Despite the harsh treatment, the First String kit shows minimal signs of wear and tear. The serving is still tight, and there is no fraying or stretching. Cleaning the strings is straightforward; a quick wipe-down with a silicone-based string wax keeps them in top condition. Compared to my previous experiences with other string brands, the First String kit outperforms them in terms of durability and stability.
