First Impressions of Specialty Archery Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe
In the world of archery, precision and consistency are paramount. The Specialty Archery Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe promises exactly that: a reliable, adjustable, and versatile arrow rest suitable for both target archers and avid hunters. Specialty Archery is a well-regarded name in the archery world, known for their high-quality components. This arrow rest, with its quick-detach mechanism, micro-adjustments, and the ability to function as either a fixed blade launcher or a drop-away, immediately caught my attention.
As someone who has spent countless hours on the range and in the field, I was seeking an arrow rest that could deliver repeatable performance in a variety of conditions. I was also looking for something easy to adjust and maintain. After years of using simpler rests, I was ready to invest in an upgrade that would provide greater accuracy and consistency.
Upon unboxing the Specialty Archery Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe, the first thing I noticed was the robust construction. The black anodized finish looked durable, and the various adjustment knobs felt solid and precise. The included long bar kit added to the impression of a comprehensive, high-end product. Compared to the basic whisker biscuit rests I’ve used in the past, this looked like a significant step up. I chose the Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe over other models due to its purported versatility and the positive reputation of Specialty Archery.
My initial impression was one of cautious optimism. The rest appeared well-made and thoughtfully designed, but the real test would be how it performed on my bow and in real-world conditions. I was excited to see if it could live up to the hype and improve my shooting consistency.
Real-World Testing: Putting Specialty Archery Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe to the Test
First Use Experience
My first experience with the Specialty Archery Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe was at my local outdoor archery range. I spent the afternoon sighting in my bow and getting familiar with the rest’s adjustment features. The weather was typical for late spring – sunny with a slight breeze.
Setting up the rest initially took a bit of time, as I carefully followed the instructions and experimented with different settings for windage and elevation. Once dialed in, the rest performed remarkably well, consistently launching my arrows with a clean release. I did find that the micro-adjustments were incredibly sensitive, requiring small tweaks to achieve perfect arrow flight.

After several weeks of using the Specialty Archery Influence Arrow Rest Deluxe, both at the range and during practice sessions in my backyard, I can confidently say that it’s a reliable piece of equipment. It has held up well with regular use, showing no signs of loosening or shifting. The anodized finish has proven durable, resisting scratches and wear from repeated arrow launches.
Maintenance is simple. I routinely clean the rest with a soft cloth and occasionally apply a small amount of lubricant to the moving parts. It has definitely helped tighten my arrow groupings at longer distances.
