First Impressions of Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241
The Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241 might seem like a small piece of kit, but for serious archers, it’s the key to unlocking consistent accuracy at varying distances. This graduated sight tape from Axcel is designed specifically for their Achieve sights, offering a durable and easy-to-read scale for precise adjustments. I have always said that “precise equipment means precise shots”.
My journey to finding this particular sight tape started with frustration. I had been struggling with generic paper tapes that were prone to tearing, fading, and generally lacking the precision I needed for competitive archery. The constant need to replace them was not only wasteful but also impacted my confidence on the range.
When I unboxed the Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241, my first impression was “finally, a solid build!” The metal construction felt robust and the markings were crisp and clear. Comparing it to the flimsy paper tapes I’d been using, it was a night and day difference. I also looked at generic metal sight tapes and a similar product from Shrewd, but the Axcel specifically designed for their Achieve sight felt like the most integrated and reliable solution.
Honestly, I was excited. The promise of a durable, accurate, and easy-to-read sight tape addressed a very real pain point in my archery setup. This simple upgrade had the potential to significantly improve my shooting experience, and I was eager to put it to the test.
Real-World Testing: Putting Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241 to the Test

My initial testing ground was the outdoor archery range, a familiar setting where I spend countless hours honing my skills. I installed the Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241 onto my Axcel Achieve sight, a process that was surprisingly straightforward. The first session involved shooting at targets ranging from 20 to 70 yards.
Even under the bright sunlight, the white markings on the black tape were incredibly easy to read. Making adjustments based on the scale was far more precise than using my old paper tapes. After a couple of hours of shooting and adjusting in the sun, I never had to second guess my equipment.
There were no issues right out of the box. The tape adhered firmly to the sight and the graduated scale felt intuitive to use. The clarity and durability of the metal tape inspired confidence, something that was sorely lacking with my previous paper-based solution.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of consistent use, the Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241 has proven to be a reliable addition to my archery setup. There are no signs of wear and tear, despite regular exposure to the elements. The metal construction has held up remarkably well.
Cleaning the tape is as simple as wiping it down with a cloth. The markings remain crisp and clear even after being exposed to rain and dust. This ease of maintenance is a welcome change from the delicate paper tapes that required constant babying.
Compared to my previous experiences, the Axcel Achieve XP Metal Sight Tape 1201241 has significantly outperformed my expectations. It provides greater precision, durability, and ease of use, making it a valuable upgrade for any archer using the Axcel Achieve sight. I should have bought this a long time ago.
