I was looking for a consistently accurate hunting load for my 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. Specifically, I needed ammunition that could reliably perform on whitetail deer at ranges exceeding 300 yards.
The packaging was standard, a simple cardboard box, but the rounds themselves looked clean and well-made. Visually, the brass casings appeared uniform and the Sierra GameKing bullets were seated consistently, suggesting good quality control. My initial impression was positive, hinting at the potential for accurate and dependable performance.
Compared to other 6.5 Creedmoor hunting loads I’ve used, like Hornady’s ELD-X and Federal’s Terminal Ascent, the HSM offering with the Sierra GameKing is significantly more budget-friendly. I ultimately chose the HSM Ammunition Game King because I wanted a balance of reputable components and affordability for higher-volume practice and hunting.
Initially, I was cautiously optimistic. I’ve had good and bad experiences with various ammunition manufacturers, so I wanted to reserve my judgment until I could put the HSM Ammunition Game King 6.5mm Creedmoor through its paces.
