EGO Fishing S2 Slider Deck Mop – Deluxe Review

First Impressions of EGO Fishing S2 Slider Deck Mop – Deluxe

The EGO Fishing S2 Slider Deck Mop – Deluxe promises a cleaner and safer fishing experience, and I’m here to determine if it lives up to that claim. As someone who spends a significant amount of time on the water, maintaining a clean and stable deck is paramount – not just for aesthetics, but for safety. This mop claims to offer superior absorbency and ease of use, attaching directly to existing EGO Fishing handles.

My own fishing boat, “The Wanderer,” is a testament to countless adventures, and equally countless messes. From spilled bait and fish scales to muddy footprints and the occasional rogue wave, the deck takes a beating. I’ve previously relied on a combination of scrub brushes, garden hoses, and elbow grease, a method that’s both time-consuming and often ineffective.

The promise of a “deluxe” deck mop immediately sparked my interest. The EGO Fishing S2 Slider Deck Mop – Deluxe appeared to be a step up in efficiency. I chose this mop over a standard boat sponge and a traditional bristle brush. The microfiber material and compatibility with my existing S2 handle system were the deciding factors. My initial reaction was cautiously optimistic, hoping it would be the solution to a persistent problem.
