Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left Review

First Impressions of Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left

Pontoon boats offer a fantastic platform for relaxation and socializing on the water, but factory seating can sometimes leave something to be desired in terms of comfort and features. Enter the Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left, a thoughtfully designed accessory from Wise that promises to elevate the pontoon experience. With its integrated cup holders and modern design, this armrest aims to blend functionality with aesthetics, offering a welcome upgrade for any pontoon owner looking to enhance their vessel.

I had recently purchased a used pontoon boat that, while structurally sound, was showing its age in the seating department. The original armrests were worn, uncomfortable, and lacked convenient features like cup holders. I wanted to enhance the comfort and utility of the seating, and the Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left seemed like the perfect solution.

Upon unboxing, the first thing that struck me was the quality of the marine-grade vinyl. It felt durable and looked like it could withstand the harsh marine environment. The injection-molded plastic frame also felt sturdy, and the overall construction appeared to be well-executed. Compared to cheaper armrest options, the Wise offering immediately presented itself as a premium product.

I chose this armrest over others because of its integrated cup holders and the reputation of Wise for producing quality marine seating. Several cheaper options were available, but they lacked the refined design and the promise of long-term durability that the Wise product offered. I was excited to get it installed and experience the difference it would make on our pontoon boat outings.

Real-World Testing: Putting Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left to the Test

First Use Experience

I installed the Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left on the port side of my pontoon boat, replacing the old, worn-out factory armrest. Installation was straightforward, utilizing existing mounting points and requiring only basic tools. The first test was during a leisurely afternoon cruise on a local lake.

The armrest immediately improved the seating comfort, offering a supportive and comfortable place to rest my arm. The cup holders were conveniently located and easily accommodated various drink sizes. Even on a slightly choppy day, the armrest felt secure and stable.

There were no significant issues, though I did notice that the vinyl could get a little warm in direct sunlight, which is expected with most marine vinyl products. This was easily remedied by throwing a small towel over the armrest on exceptionally hot days.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several months of regular use, the Wise Premier Pontoon 7in Radius Arm Rest – Left has proven to be a durable and reliable addition to my pontoon boat. There are no signs of wear and tear, and the vinyl has maintained its color and integrity despite exposure to sun and water. The plastic frame remains sturdy and shows no signs of cracking or deformation.

Cleaning the armrest is a breeze – a simple wipe-down with a mild soap and water solution is all it takes to remove dirt, sunscreen, and other debris. Compared to the original armrests, the Wise armrest is significantly more comfortable, durable, and easy to maintain. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of both comfort and longevity.
