I was searching for a pack that could securely carry my tripod while also providing ample space for essential gear on backcountry hunts. I was tired of jury-rigging solutions that were uncomfortable and unstable. The BOG Inception w/ Helix 3500 Backpack appeared to be the perfect solution.
Unboxing the BOG Inception w/ Helix 3500 Backpack was a positive experience. The tan 420D ripstop nylon felt rugged and well-stitched. The initial impression was of a thoughtfully designed and robust piece of kit.
Compared to my older Eberlestock Mainframe pack and a smaller Badlands Approach FX, the BOG Inception w/ Helix 3500 Backpack seemed to offer a better balance of capacity, tripod carry capability, and overall organizational features.
