First Impressions of Bass Assassin Tiny Pro Shad Assasin Swimbaits
As a seasoned angler with over a decade dedicated to the pursuit of finned adversaries, I’ve become intimately familiar with the subtle nuances that separate a good bait from a truly exceptional one. I have seen countless lures come and go. When I first laid eyes on the Bass Assassin Tiny Pro Shad Assasin Swimbaits, I was intrigued by the promise of an enlarged version of the already popular Tiny Shad.
I was looking for a swimbait that could tempt those larger, more elusive bass that often ignore smaller offerings. I wanted a bait that had a proven track record. My initial thought was positive.
Upon opening the package, I was immediately struck by the feel of the plastic; it seemed pliable yet durable. The Bass Assassin bait had a convincing profile and the inclusion of BANG Fish Attractant in the Combo scent was a definite plus. Compared to other swimbaits I’ve used, like the Zoom Swimmer and the Strike King Rage Swimmer, the Tiny Pro Shad appeared to be a well-balanced option with a more subtle action. I was eager to see how it performed in the water, and my initial excitement was definitely piqued.
Real-World Testing: Putting Bass Assassin Tiny Pro Shad Assasin Swimbaits to the Test
First Use Experience
My first encounter with the Bass Assassin Tiny Pro Shad Assasin Swimbaits was on a clear, sunny afternoon at Lake Serenity. I targeted submerged weed lines where I knew larger bass liked to ambush prey. I rigged the swimbait on a 1/8 oz jig head and began experimenting with different retrieves.
The action of the swimbait was immediately apparent. The slightly larger tail provided a pronounced wobble, even at slower speeds. I experienced no immediate strikes, but the action gave me confidence.

After several weeks of rigorous testing across various bodies of water, including both lakes and rivers, the Bass Assassin Tiny Pro Shad Assasin Swimbaits have proven their worth. The durability of the plastic is noteworthy. They held up remarkably well to repeated casts, snags, and toothy encounters with bass and other species.
Maintaining the baits is simple. A quick rinse after each use keeps them clean. Compared to some other swimbaits I’ve used, the Tiny Pro Shad has become a mainstay in my tackle box, consistently outperforming many of my older, trusted options.
