First Impressions of Elite Survival Systems Blindside Concealed Carry Slingpack
The Elite Survival Systems Blindside Concealed Carry Slingpack immediately strikes you as a well-thought-out blend of everyday practicality and tactical preparedness. Elite Survival Systems designed this slingpack to be discreet, functional, and accessible, making it a strong contender for anyone needing a low-profile concealed carry option. My initial impression is that this is a quality bag, capable of discreetly and comfortably carrying a firearm and essential gear.
I needed a bag that could function both as a range bag and a discreet carry option as I am in the process of getting my CCP. I also wanted something more mobile and low-profile than my usual range bag. The Blindside Slingpack’s ambidextrous design and dedicated handgun compartment were major selling points for me.
Unboxing the Blindside, I was impressed by the rugged feel of the 900D polyester fabric. The zippers felt robust, and the overall construction seemed solid. The weight was surprisingly light, just a pound, which is crucial for a bag intended for all-day carry.
Compared to other concealed carry sling bags I’ve used, like the 5.11 Tactical Rush MOAB 10, the Blindside is noticeably more streamlined and less tactical in appearance. It looks less aggressive and more like a regular daypack. This was precisely the look I was going for.
My first impression was positive. I was eager to put it through its paces at the range. The combination of low weight, high durability fabric, and the streamlined design gave me confidence.
Real-World Testing: Putting Elite Survival Systems Blindside Concealed Carry Slingpack to the Test
First Use Experience
My first outing with the Elite Survival Systems Blindside Concealed Carry Slingpack was a trip to my local shooting range. I loaded it with my Glock 19 in the concealed compartment, along with eye and ear protection, magazines, a box of ammo, and a magazine loader. The slingpack felt comfortable across my back, and the single-strap design allowed for easy adjustments.
The range was outdoors, and the weather was slightly drizzly. The 900D polyester shrugged off the light rain, keeping my gear dry. Accessing my handgun from either side of the pack was quick and intuitive. There was no fumbling or struggling to get to my firearm.
Using the bag was straightforward. The ambidextrous strap was easy to adjust, and the interior pockets kept my gear organized. The only slight issue was getting used to the sling design compared to a traditional backpack, but after a few minutes, it felt natural.
After my first use, I was very satisfied. The Blindside proved to be comfortable, practical, and discreet. The easy access to the concealed compartment was a significant advantage.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, the Elite Survival Systems Blindside Concealed Carry Slingpack has become my go-to range bag. It’s also been incorporated into my daily life as a general-purpose carry bag. So far, it has held up admirably.
The 900D polyester shows no signs of wear and tear. The zippers still operate smoothly, and the stitching remains intact. I have taken it on several hikes and it has resisted abrasion from rocks and branches.
Maintaining the Blindside is simple. A quick wipe-down with a damp cloth removes any dirt or grime. I’ve also used a fabric protectant spray to enhance its water resistance.
Compared to my previous experiences with other tactical bags, the Blindside strikes a better balance between ruggedness and discretion. It offers the durability of a tactical bag without the aggressive look. It has become a reliable and versatile piece of gear.
