First Thoughts on the Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray
The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray promises to be a game-changer in rifle storage and transport. Advance Warrior Solutions is launching what they call the “Universal Soldier,” an expandable double rifle case designed to eliminate the need for multiple cases. This immediately piqued my interest, as I’m always searching for ways to streamline my gear for range days and training.
My biggest problem has always been efficiently transporting multiple rifles and associated gear. Juggling two or three separate cases is a logistical nightmare, and it also screams “expensive firearms” to anyone observing. The promise of a single case that can adapt to different loadouts was incredibly appealing.
Upon unboxing, the Universal Soldier immediately impresses with its sturdy construction and professional black/gray color scheme. The material feels durable, and the stitching appears to be high quality. The expandable pockets give it a unique look; it’s almost like a tactical accordion! My initial impression is very positive; it seems built to withstand the rigors of travel.
I’ve used similar double rifle cases from VISM and Savior Equipment. While both are excellent, neither offers this expandable pocket feature. The VISM case felt bulky even when only carrying one rifle, and the Savior Equipment case, while durable, lacked organizational options for smaller accessories. The Universal Soldier aims to solve these issues. I’m excited to test its practicality.
My first impression is one of cautious optimism. The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray certainly looks the part and offers an innovative solution to a common problem. I’m eager to see if it lives up to the hype in real-world scenarios.
Real-World Testing: Putting Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray at my local shooting range. My standard range loadout includes an AR-15, a .22LR rifle, magazines, ammo, eye and ear protection, targets, and cleaning supplies. I packed both rifles inside, utilizing the expandable pockets for magazines and ammo.
The weather was slightly damp, with a light drizzle. The case kept the contents dry, and the non-slip base prevented it from sliding around in the back of my truck. The Universal Soldier handled the weight well, and the shoulder straps were surprisingly comfortable even with a full load. It was undeniably easier to carry everything in one trip from the parking lot.
The only initial issue I encountered was fully maximizing the expandable pocket. Once fully expanded, it affected the internal rifle space slightly. I needed to be careful about how I positioned the rifles to avoid any pressure points.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, the Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray is holding up remarkably well. I’ve used it for multiple range trips, a weekend training course in a dusty environment, and even a short hunting trip.
The durability of the material is evident. There are no signs of tearing or fraying, even after being dragged across rough surfaces. The zippers operate smoothly, and the stitching remains intact. The black/gray color hides dirt and grime effectively, and wiping it down with a damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning.
Compared to my previous experiences with cheaper rifle cases, the Universal Soldier is a significant upgrade. The quality is superior, and the expandable pockets offer unmatched versatility. It definitely outperforms the cheaper alternatives in terms of durability and organization.
Breaking Down the Features of Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray
Specifications
The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray is a 36-inch double rifle case constructed from a durable, weather-resistant material. The key feature is its expandable pockets. These pockets extend the case’s width from the standard 36 inches to a maximum of 56 inches. This allows for the storage of additional gear, magazines, or even a smaller secondary firearm.
The black and gray color scheme offers a tactical yet discreet appearance. It also features internal dividers and straps to secure rifles during transport. These straps prevent shifting and potential damage to optics or other accessories.
The expandable pocket design greatly impacts the case’s versatility. It allows users to consolidate their gear into a single, manageable package. The 36-inch length comfortably accommodates most AR-15s and similar-sized rifles.
Performance & Functionality
The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray excels at its primary function: securely transporting rifles and related equipment. The internal straps hold the rifles firmly in place, preventing them from banging against each other during transport. The expandable pockets provide ample space for magazines, ammunition, and other essential gear.
The case’s main strength is its adaptability. It can be configured to carry a minimal load for a quick range trip or expanded to accommodate a full complement of gear for a longer training session. The main weakness is that when fully expanded the main rifle space can be impacted. It can be tricky to properly fit and secure rifles when both pockets are at maximum capacity.
It largely meets my expectations. I was hoping for an all-in-one solution for range days, and the Universal Soldier mostly delivers. It exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and overall build quality for a case in this price range.
Design & Ergonomics
The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray features a well-thought-out design. It balances functionality and aesthetics. The materials feel robust. The case is reasonably lightweight, even when fully loaded. The padded shoulder straps enhance carrying comfort.
The design is user-friendly. The expandable pockets are easy to access and adjust. The internal dividers are well-placed. There is a slight learning curve involved in optimizing the use of the expandable pockets. Once you learn how to arrange your gear effectively, it becomes second nature.
Durability & Maintenance
The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray seems built to last. The durable materials and reinforced stitching inspire confidence. The zippers are heavy-duty and operate smoothly.
Maintaining the case is simple. Wiping it down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dirt and grime. Occasional lubrication of the zippers with silicone spray will ensure smooth operation. With proper care, this case should provide years of reliable service.
Accessories and Customization Options
The Advance Warrior Solutions FRURBPBLGR Universal Soldier Rifle Case Black/Gray does not come with any specific accessories beyond the internal dividers and straps. However, it is compatible with a wide range of aftermarket accessories.
Users can add MOLLE pouches to the exterior for additional storage. Internal Velcro panels allow for the attachment of Velcro-backed magazine pouches or other organizers. The case’s universal design makes it compatible with most standard rifle case accessories.
