Gatorz Quick Kit Review

First Impressions of Gatorz Quick Kit

The Gatorz Quick Kit promises a simple solution to common eyewear issues for those pushing the limits outdoors. Gatorz eyewear is known for its durability and sharp aesthetics, but demanding environments require more than just a solid frame and lens. The Quick Kit bundles an eyewear strap, a foam insert for added protection, and lens cleaner, addressing fit, debris control, and clarity – all critical for performance.

I was looking for a way to enhance the versatility and survivability of my Gatorz while participating in demanding shooting competitions. I needed a system to keep my glasses secure during rapid movements, while also blocking out dust and sweat.

Upon opening the kit, I was struck by the simplicity and apparent quality of the components. The eyewear strap felt robust and well-made, the foam insert was surprisingly lightweight and pliable, and the lens cleaner bottle was a welcome addition. My first thought was, “This looks like exactly what I need to round out my eye protection.”

Compared to buying each component separately, the Gatorz Quick Kit offered a compelling value proposition. Other options I considered were generic eyewear straps and DIY foam inserts, but the Gatorz branded kit promised a seamless fit and guaranteed compatibility. Initial impressions were definitely positive; I was eager to see how it performed in the field.

I was excited to potentially solve some nagging issues with my existing eyewear setup and see if this kit could give my Gatorz a new lease on life.

Real-World Testing: Putting Gatorz Quick Kit to the Test

First Use Experience

I immediately put the Gatorz Quick Kit to the test at an outdoor shooting range during a multi-gun competition. The environment was dusty, with temperatures hovering around 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and I was moving constantly between stages. The foam insert and eyewear strap were quickly installed on my Gatorz Magnum frames.

The strap kept my glasses firmly in place throughout the day, even during rapid transitions and dynamic movements. The foam insert effectively blocked out dust and sweat, preventing annoying distractions.

The only initial issue was a slight fogging of the lenses during periods of intense exertion, but this was quickly remedied with a spritz of the included lens cleaner.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of consistent use in various conditions, including hiking, fishing, and more shooting competitions, the Gatorz Quick Kit has proven to be a reliable addition to my gear. The eyewear strap shows no signs of wear and tear, maintaining its elasticity and secure grip. The foam insert remains intact, although it does require occasional cleaning to remove accumulated sweat and grime.

Maintenance is straightforward. A quick rinse with water and a gentle wipe with a microfiber cloth keeps the foam insert clean. The lens cleaner is effective at removing smudges and fingerprints, maintaining clear vision. Compared to my previous setup, which involved constantly adjusting my glasses and wiping away sweat, the Gatorz Quick Kit offers a significantly improved and more comfortable experience. It has exceeded my expectations for its ease of use and overall impact on my performance.
