The WOOX Exactus Precision Stock – Remington 700 DBM/ AICS Chassis isn’t just another stock; it’s a meticulously crafted platform designed to elevate your shooting experience. Manufactured by WOOX, this chassis combines the timeless appeal of stabilized hardwood with the ruggedness of an aluminum chassis, promising both aesthetic beauty and unmatched performance.
After years of relying on factory stocks and dabbling in aftermarket options that never quite hit the mark, I was seeking a true upgrade. I needed something that could offer superior stability, enhanced accuracy, and a custom fit for my trusted Remington 700.
The WOOX Exactus Precision Stock arrived well-packaged, immediately showcasing the attention to detail. The combination of the warm walnut wood and the cold, industrial aluminum was striking. It felt substantial in my hands, hinting at the robust build quality promised.
Compared to the Magpul Hunter 700 or the Bell and Carlson Medalist, the WOOX Exactus stands out with its unique blend of classic aesthetics and modern functionality. I chose the WOOX for its promise of superior adjustability, drop-in installation, and the allure of its hybrid wood-aluminum construction. My initial impression was excitement, bordering on eagerness, to see if it lived up to the hype.
Real-World Testing: Putting WOOX Exactus Precision Stock – Remington 700 DBM/ AICS Chassis to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the WOOX Exactus Precision Stock at my local shooting range, a mix of covered benches and open-air lanes stretching out to 600 yards. The weather was typical for late spring: a bit breezy and intermittently damp, offering a good test of its all-weather capabilities.
The most noticeable difference was the stability it provided. Even with a larger-profile barrel, the WOOX Exactus Precision Stock remained rock solid, minimizing any wobble. The drop-in installation truly lived up to its name; I was up and running in under 15 minutes. One initial surprise was how naturally the adjustable cheek riser and length of pull fit my frame, almost like it was custom-made.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of regular use, the WOOX Exactus Precision Stock has proven to be an incredibly reliable platform. The walnut wood has held up beautifully, showing no signs of warping or cracking. Regular cleaning with a basic gun stock cleaner keeps it looking pristine.
The only noticeable wear is some minor scuffing on the aluminum chassis near the magazine well, but it’s purely cosmetic. Compared to my previous synthetic stock, the WOOX Exactus Precision Stock offers a far more consistent and comfortable shooting experience, especially during long sessions. The adjustability ensures a perfect fit, reducing fatigue and improving accuracy.
