The Quick Products JQ-FP Replacement Removable Foot Pad For Electric Tongue Jack isn’t the kind of product that sets pulses racing, but for anyone who’s wrestled with a trailer jack sinking into soft ground, it’s a potential game-changer. This simple-looking accessory promises to add adjustable lift and stability to your electric tongue jack, preventing those frustrating moments of your trailer seemingly determined to become one with the earth. I was looking for a solution that would save me from carrying around a stack of wooden blocks every time I needed to level my camper.

My first impression upon unboxing the Quick Products foot pad was that it’s a no-frills, utilitarian piece of equipment. The black finish is simple and functional, and the steel construction felt reassuringly solid in my hands. It’s not winning any design awards, but its purpose is clear: to provide a stable and adjustable base for my electric tongue jack.

Real-World Testing: Putting Quick Products JQ-FP Replacement Removable Foot Pad For Electric Tongue Jack to the Test

First Use Experience

I tested the Quick Products JQ-FP Replacement Removable Foot Pad For Electric Tongue Jack on a recent camping trip to a site with notoriously soft soil. The ground was damp from recent rain, the kind of conditions where my jack would usually sink like a stone. Installation was straightforward: simply inserting the foot pad into the jack leg and securing it with a pin (not included).

The difference was immediately noticeable. The wide 5.5″ base provided a much larger surface area, preventing the jack from sinking into the soft ground. The 5 adjustment holes allowed me to fine-tune the height, making leveling the trailer a breeze, even on uneven terrain.
