Let’s Dive into RamRodz 70035 Professional Master Kit .22 Cal And Up Rifle/Shotgun
The RamRodz 70035 Professional Master Kit .22 Cal And Up Rifle/Shotgun promises a comprehensive cleaning solution for a wide range of firearms. Marketed as an all-in-one solution, it boasts a layered storage system, a vast assortment of brushes, picks, swabs, and cleaning chemicals, all tailored for calibers .22 and up. I was drawn to this kit as I’ve always struggled to find a single, convenient cleaning solution for my diverse collection of rifles and shotguns.
My gun cleaning supplies were a disorganized mess of mismatched brushes, solvents, and patches scattered across my workbench. I was searching for a way to streamline my cleaning process. I hoped to consolidate everything into one easily accessible and portable kit.
Upon unboxing, the RamRodz kit presented a well-organized appearance. The layered storage compartments appeared sturdy and practical. The sheer volume of cleaning tools was immediately impressive, though the cleaning solution and oil felt slightly generic in terms of scent and consistency.
I’ve used individual cleaning components from brands like Hoppe’s and Bore Tech for years. I also tried all-in-one kits by Otis Technology in the past. This RamRodz kit looked to potentially offer a more comprehensive solution than my previous attempts at organization.
My initial reaction was cautiously optimistic; the variety of tools was encouraging. However, the true test would be whether these tools translated into effective cleaning performance in the field.
Real-World Testing: Putting RamRodz 70035 Professional Master Kit .22 Cal And Up Rifle/Shotgun to the Test
First Use Experience
I put the RamRodz 70035 Professional Master Kit .22 Cal And Up Rifle/Shotgun to work immediately after a day at the range. I used it to clean my AR-15 (.223/5.56), a .22LR rifle, and a 12-gauge shotgun. I performed the cleaning in my garage, with good lighting but ambient temperatures.
The kit performed admirably across all three firearms. The precision swabs were particularly useful for cleaning tight corners and crevices in the AR-15’s bolt carrier group. The bore brushes effectively removed carbon fouling from the shotgun barrel.
The ease of use was noteworthy; everything was readily accessible and intuitively organized. I did not need to consult the instructions to get started. I experienced no immediate issues, and the cleaning process felt significantly more streamlined than with my previous assortment of individual tools.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, the RamRodz kit has proven to be a reliable and durable addition to my cleaning routine. The tools have held up well, showing minimal signs of wear and tear, even with regular use.
The brushes maintain their shape, and the picks remain sharp. The layered storage system has kept everything organized and readily accessible. Cleaning and maintaining the kit itself is simple.
I just wipe down the components with a clean cloth after each use. This kit has exceeded my expectations by providing a comprehensive and well-organized cleaning solution that has streamlined my routine, unlike previous, less effective attempts at consolidating my cleaning supplies.
