The Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Rifle Stock FT Thompson Center Compass Detachable Box Mag Long Action FBC is a replacement stock designed to enhance the ergonomics and aesthetics of your Thompson Center Compass rifle. Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks is known for producing high-quality, affordable hardwood stocks, and this particular model, featuring a Featherweight Thumbhole design and Forest Camo finish, aims to offer both comfort and a visually appealing upgrade. This stock is specifically designed for the long action version of the Compass rifle, which utilizes a detachable box magazine.

My journey to this product began after consistently feeling dissatisfied with the factory synthetic stock on my Thompson Center Compass. I desired a more solid, comfortable, and visually appealing stock that could improve my shooting experience, especially during longer range sessions and hunting trips. I also wanted something that would help reduce felt recoil and provide a more stable platform for accuracy.

Upon unboxing the Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Rifle Stock FT Thompson Center Compass Detachable Box Mag Long Action FBC, my initial impression was one of solid build quality. The Forest Camo finish looked fantastic, and the wood felt substantial and well-shaped. It had a good weight to it, which suggested it would add some much-needed heft to the rifle.

I considered options from Bell and Carlson and Manners, but ultimately chose the Boyds stock for its balance of price, aesthetics, and positive user reviews. The thumbhole design was also a major selling point. I was excited, yet cautiously optimistic, hoping that this would be the upgrade I was looking for to transform my Thompson Center Compass.
