EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle Review

Let’s Dive into EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle

The EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle is a meticulously crafted airsoft replica designed to bridge the gap between sub-machine guns and rifles. Manufactured by EMG, in collaboration with Knights Armament Company (KAC), this model aims to offer a realistic training experience. With features such as a side-folding stock, ambidextrous controls, and a full-length top rail, the EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle promises versatility and authenticity for airsoft enthusiasts.

My interest in this product stemmed from a need for a compact, realistic training platform for close-quarters scenarios. I was looking for an airsoft rifle that mirrored the feel and manipulation of a real firearm, without the inherent risks.

Upon unboxing, I was immediately struck by the solid feel and realistic weight of the EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle. The build quality appeared excellent, with no noticeable wobble or cheap-feeling components.

Compared to similar airsoft PDWs, such as the VFC MP7 or the Krytac Kriss Vector, the EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle stood out due to its licensed Knights Armament design and potential for aftermarket upgrades. Its compatibility with WE / RA-Tech / NPAS parts further solidified my decision, allowing for future customization. My first impression was excitement, tempered with a bit of skepticism about its performance on the field.

Real-World Testing: Putting EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle to the Test

First Use Experience

I first tested the EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle at an indoor CQB airsoft arena. The arena simulated tight, enclosed spaces, which allowed me to assess its maneuverability and handling in close-quarters combat.

The rifle performed well in dry conditions, but I anticipate the Keymod handguard will provide a good grip in wet conditions as well. The EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle felt comfortable to wield, though it took a few rounds to fully adjust to the open bolt gas blowback system.

The most immediate issue I noticed was the cooldown effect on the CO2 magazine, which affected consistent velocity during rapid firing. Despite this, the realistic recoil and satisfying sound of the EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle made the initial experience enjoyable.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of consistent use, the EMG Knights Armament Airsoft PDW M2 Airsoft Rifle has proven to be a reliable and durable platform. There are only minor signs of wear on the magazine well from frequent magazine changes.

The rifle is relatively easy to clean; I typically disassemble and lubricate the bolt carrier group and hop-up unit after each skirmish. Compared to my previous experience with AEG rifles, the gas blowback system requires more frequent maintenance but offers a far more realistic experience.
