I was surprised by the accuracy I was able to achieve with factory ammunition. I was expecting to need to experiment with handloads to achieve optimal performance.

After several months of use, the Aero Precision M5 upper has proven to be exceptionally reliable and durable. I’ve put several hundred rounds through it in various conditions, including hot, dusty days and cold, damp afternoons. It has performed flawlessly without any malfunctions.
The finish has held up well, with only minor signs of wear and tear. I’ve been careful to clean and lubricate the upper after each range session, which has likely contributed to its longevity.
Cleaning and maintaining the upper is straightforward. The stainless steel barrel is easy to clean, and the ATLAS R-ONE handguard provides ample access to the gas system. I simply use a standard AR-15 cleaning kit.
