46% Off promises a blend of power, reliability, and affordability for game hunters. These 12-gauge shells, manufactured by RIO Ammunition, are designed to deliver a consistent and effective payload at a high velocity, making them a compelling choice for various hunting scenarios.
As a seasoned outdoorsman and tactical gear specialist, I needed a shotshell that could reliably perform across a range of conditions without breaking the bank. I was looking for consistent patterns, dependable ignition, and enough power to ethically take down small to medium game.
My first impression upon unboxing the RIO Ammunition SG3275 Game Load was positive. The shells were neatly organized in the box, and the crimp appeared well-formed. The overall build quality seemed consistent with other budget-friendly game loads I’ve used in the past.
I have used similar game loads from Federal and Winchester in the past. However, the advertised high velocity and the discounted price point of the RIO Ammunition SG3275 Game Load ultimately swayed my decision.
Initially, I was cautiously optimistic, hoping that the performance would live up to the claims. The current price of $12.69 for 25 shells makes this a steal.

First Use Experience
I tested the RIO Ammunition SG3275 Game Load at my local shooting range and during a dove hunting trip in central Texas. The range offered a controlled environment to assess patterning and velocity, while the dove hunt provided a real-world test against live game.
The weather conditions during both tests were typical for the area, with temperatures ranging from 70°F to 90°F and varying humidity levels. The shells performed consistently regardless of the slight temperature changes.
Using these shells required no special preparation or adjustments; they loaded smoothly into my Benelli Super Black Eagle II and cycled reliably. The recoil was manageable, comparable to other 12-gauge loads in the same weight range.
During the first range session, I noticed a slightly wider pattern compared to premium shells, but still within acceptable limits for typical hunting ranges. I experienced zero malfunctions, which immediately boosted my confidence in the RIO Ammunition SG3275 Game Load.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of continued use, including multiple hunting trips and range sessions, the RIO Ammunition SG3275 Game Load has held up remarkably well. There have been no noticeable changes in performance or consistency.
I’ve fired approximately 200 rounds, and none exhibited any signs of degradation or compromised performance. The shells have consistently ignited without fail.
Maintaining these shells is straightforward: I simply store them in a dry, cool place. As with all ammunition, proper storage is critical to longevity and reliable performance.
In comparison to the premium, high-dollar shells I often use, the RIO Ammunition SG3275 Game Load has proven to be a cost-effective alternative. While the patterns may not be as tight as the high-end shells, the overall performance is more than adequate for ethical and successful game hunting.
