AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic Review

Let’s Dive into AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic

The AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic is more than just a public address system; it’s a portable powerhouse designed to amplify your voice and music in diverse environments. Manufactured by AmpliVox, this 50-watt system boasts Bluetooth connectivity, impressive battery life, and a wired microphone, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor events. I’ve spent years dealing with various PA systems, and the promise of a compact, all-in-one solution that doesn’t compromise on power immediately piqued my interest.

My work as a tactical gear specialist often involves demonstrations and training sessions in the field. I needed a reliable, portable PA system to clearly communicate with groups of varying sizes, even in areas without access to electricity. Unboxing the AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic, I immediately appreciated its robust construction and relatively light weight, considering its capabilities.

Compared to other portable PA systems I’ve used, such as the Bose S1 Pro and the Roland Cube Street EX, the AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic seemed more focused on vocal projection and durability, sacrificing some of the nuanced sound quality for raw power and resilience. Ultimately, the AmpliVox won me over due to its blend of portability, power, and the inclusion of a wired microphone, critical for situations where wireless signals may be unreliable. My initial impression was one of cautious optimism; the system felt solid and well-built, but the true test would be in the field.

Real-World Testing: Putting AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic to the Test

First Use Experience

I first tested the AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic at an outdoor tactical training session, held in a large, open field with approximately 50 participants. The weather was dry but windy, presenting a challenge for audio projection. Setting up the system was incredibly straightforward; I simply plugged in the wired microphone and powered it on.

The system’s 50-watt output proved more than adequate to project my voice across the field, even against the wind. The voice quality through the included wired microphone was clear and intelligible. I also tested the Bluetooth connectivity by playing music from my smartphone. However, the primary focus was on voice projection, and in this regard, the AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic excelled.

One minor issue arose: the wired microphone cable was a bit short for comfortable movement. This required me to remain relatively close to the unit during use. This was a small inconvenience but one I planned to address in subsequent testing.

Extended Use & Reliability

After several weeks of regular use, the AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic has proven to be a reliable workhorse. I’ve used it for training sessions in various environments, including indoor classrooms and outdoor ranges. The system has consistently delivered clear and powerful audio. The Sealed Lead Acid Battery has held its charge well. I get roughly the advertised ten hours of use per charge.

The polyethylene case has proven remarkably durable. It has shrugged off bumps and scrapes without any noticeable damage. Maintenance has been minimal; I simply wipe down the unit with a damp cloth after each use. Compared to other portable PA systems I’ve owned, the AmpliVox AIRVOX PA – Wired Mic stands out for its robust construction and consistent performance, even under demanding conditions.
